In a way even though it's considered an "album" The Misfits album Static Age is a compilation of songs from the band that's not only good, but as well as a broad understanding of the what the bands gist is. Very good and solid release Definitely my favorite release from them

Yeah, when I first got into them I just thought this was their debut album, took a while before I realized it was considered a compilation/unreleased album. It's definitely among their best. Kind of prefer it to some of their more over the top later material.

This. I pretty much consider it their third album, although the covers and alternate versions of songs on other releases shatters the illusion just a bit. But still, there are too many top-tier Nirvana songs on it to consider it anything other than amazing. Hairspray Queen, Mexican Seafood, Big Long Now, Aero Zeppelin, Aneurysml, Dive and Sliver are fucking amazing.
