I liked it a lot but Im also a filthy casual
It's good.
Die anywhere else is god tier, I made it a personal tradition to play the game every fall.
one of my favorite game OSTs besides killer7 and LSD dream emulator
I think I saw you in the /trash/ thread. Did you listen to Off yet?
lol not yet, I'll play it eventually
Good musuc but pretty basic bitch tier writing.
Unsurprisingly, one of the dudes who made it is a neoliberal """socialist"""
Gregg really should have been the main character of this game, because he actually has an arc
What about Bea's arc?
I really like it, but I am 100% a trash person.
Every Fall I will spin up STALKER and play Matt Elliot/Brand New (TDAG) records.
I'm going to add Night in the Woods to my fall vidya playthrough. Beat it last summer and loved it.
One or the other. Just not Mae, because she had no real goals, aspirations, or even personal conflict.
You filthy casual.
What is the best song?
Its pretty good, probably one of the best OSTs ever made.
That's kind of the point of her character though? That she's listless, lost, uncertain of her place in life, and living carefree. She's insulted by Bea at one stage for being little more than a high schooler and detached from how her hometown friends have had to live, and struggles with her mother at least (if you interact with her enough) about her place in life/lack of employment.
Mae definitely grows throughout the course of NITW
I liked it, the Angus tracks with the cute synths were really comforting.
>Those bassoon notes
>And if they ever hear my name
>Will they know I walked alone
>Around these dusty streets – My
>Tired old home
>And will they ever stop to think
>What was here before, no
>They won’t remember that I’m gone
Those bridge notes was the best part.
Git-r-done.
>but pretty basic bitch tier writing.
Post some examples.
What other emo records do you play at fall?
Wow, this thread isnt a total shitfest. I expected more hate, like you see in any thread that mentions the undertale OST.
Undertale could never compete with a full dungeon synth sound track to the game within a game.

Merchant Ships - For Cameron
Mineral - EndSerenading
Empire! Empire! I Was A Lonely Estate - What It Takes To Move Forward
William Booney - Good Vibes
Charmer - S/T
Indian Summer - Science 1994
I Create - Make The Years
La Dispute - Wildlife (My favorite album ever)
I dunno why, late Summer and Fall are peak Emo for me. Alongside a LOT of other music as well, granted
What other music?
???
She starts as a girl who is woefully uncertain of her place in the world, but is definitely covering it up through most of her interactions. She becomes quite defensive when her mother argues with her about her lack of employment, drinks heavily at the party that she goes to within the first day of her being in town to the point of being blackout, and generally does not open herself up to her friends whatsoever.
But then in the closing third of the game, she is there for Gregg/Bea as their arc is concluding, supporting them, empathizes with Angus beneath the stars, and only opens up to them emotionally after she almost dies while being chased by the cult. Something she would NEVER have done in the earlier stages of the game.
You have talked me into it.
Really love Matt Elliot, Slauighter Beach Dog, The Microphones, Slint, Radical Face, Nick Drake, Unwound, American Football, Mogwai, We Lost The Sea, A SIlver Mt. Zion, Slowdive, NMH, Wilco, Elliot Smith, Bright Eyes (Fevers and Mirrors especially), Mimmicking Birds
A lot of it has a really good autumn-y vibe to it. But some of it is really just important to me because it reminds me of Fall. So it might not give off a Fall vibe to anyone but me. Idk.
Do you have a RYM or last.fm?
Just know I'm in a bit of a hardcore/post-hardcore phase lately, so try not to judge my music taste too harshly if that's not your thing
Also this album is consistently recommended in Fall threads
My favourite story based game
The soundtrack, right from the menu theme, was amazing
No judgement here, post-hardcore is my favorite genre and I love hardcore punk sub genres. You are with good company.
Heck, that's great then.
For whatever reason I think that NITW attracts people who are into Emo/PHC/HC.
Definitely one of the best OSTs I've ever listened to.
I know everyone likes Die Anywhere Else, but check this cover of Weird Autumn out
youtu.be
true that, I was into emo before playing it and a year later now I'm getting into post-hardcore
That was my rough progression too desu. Right when I got crazy into La Dispute (again, Wildlife. Fucking 10/10 album).
Tell me this song does not give you a NITW vibe
youtube.com
it definitely does, i heard a little bit of la dispute's new album in a sharethread and it sounded pretty good, i'm gonna check them out some more
scott benson is a fucking douche i feel sorry for his cat
