I myself have been posting it a ton in those threads. I think it's a crime that it's so fucking underrated and rarely talked about. easily one of the best rock albums of the decade.

combines a gritty atmosphere and angular riffs with some very nice vocal melodies and drone passages. it's like if the velvet underground tried to sound like this heat and interpol at the same time.

me unironically this , it was pretty good, loved the final section, tho i found the first mid a bit dissaponting. Locust Valley was my fav track.
so far i prefer Congratulations for 2010 AOTY but i´ll give this more tries. 8/10 to me

This. I think Locust was the last song to blow my mind and give me that new music universe feeling that was so common discovering music when I was a teen but all of the other songs are good but still a letdown.

Public Strain gets far too much acclaim compared to other Lo-Fi Psych albums released around that time. It's still a very solid album, but it's no masterpiece
