Shelagh Mcdonald slaps.

Her second album is not as good but it as "Dowie Dens of Yarrow" which is a real bop.

Anyway good share, OP is based.

I'm stumped trying to find this album, Malachi Thompson - Buddy Bolden's Rag, a favorite from middle school jazz band. Checked rutracker, the archives for mu, google and blogs. Please, I would appreciate an user helping me out. I might have to buy the CD at this point.

if nobody has it here, slsk might be your best bet

>ali akbar khan
oh hey, i took sitar lessons from his son

wow, middle school jazz band. we played jim peppers witchi tai to jim pepper

I'm too much of a brainlet retard to use soulseek. Don't they require you to upload your own albums and have 100:1 seed ratios or something stupid like that? I'd rather spend a few dollars than waste weeks trying to get into a special club that I'll only use once every few weeks and get kicked out because I'm fucking retarded.
We didn't play Malachi Thompson but the CD got passed around. I miss those days. I'm too much of a loser to get into a real band.

while a lot of people are snooty and have these requirements, it's definitely possible to be a total mooch on slsk if you don't do it all the time

The Minus 5 - Stroke Manor (2019) [MP3 320]
>the main guy in the Minus 5, Scott McCaughey, is an indie rock icon and suffered a stroke in 2017. He made this album while recovering in the hospital to try to teach himself how to play music again. The result is something super weird and psychedelic that give you a look in the mind of someone who had a stroke. The lyrics make no sense but you can tell he's in there. Features Corin Tucker from Sleater-Kinney, Jeff Tweedy from Wilco, and Peter Buck from R.E.M.

forgot to link to this one

this sounds like a gimmick to sell lame music. He clearly had some help here. It's pretty much dangerous how he's glorifying brain damage. Like we are supposed to believe 'oh he's so far gone these nonsense lyrics are a by product of his crazy damaged creative brain and not just him hamming it up like a dumbass. I bet that's not even his brain scan or they doctored it.

Op here again bumping and re-requesting Seventh Sons- 4 a.m. at Frank's and/or Dando Shaft- s/t. I will post more if it sweetens the deal. I'm just desperate.

dude he had to be retaught how to talk and play guitar entirely. what the fuck is wrong with you? not everything is a scam.

I hope you nor anybody you care about ever goes through a stroke because it is horrifying. Their brain loses automation and programming and you come out of it a new person. Never listened to the album but I don't see this as a way of selling albums at all, especially if it was part of the guy's recovery in learning how to think musically again.

there's a sucker born every minute!
