Album Suggestions

Hey Yea Forums, so I'm gonna be going on a vacation with my family for the week and I've been in the need of some new music, especially on the long road trip. Could you all drop me some album recs or albums you love? My personal favorite genres are synth pop, metal, jangle pop (love the Smiths and R.E.M), Industrial (really just NIN), and some alt rock. Any recommendation is appreciated. My 5 favorite bands are Ween, Beach Boys, The Smiths, Tim Hecker, and NIN

You can also recommend me something that doesn't fit those genres too, btw. I have no problem listening to things out of my comfort zone.

Slaughterhouse - Ty Segall Band
Team Sleep - Team Sleep
Oddments - King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard
Paper Mache Dream Balloon - King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard
Animated Violence Mild - Blanck Mass
Modern Mirror - Drab Majesty
Being So Normal - Peach Pit

My personal favorite road trip albums are
Songs For The Deaf - Queens Of The Stone Age
Selected Ambient Works 85-92 - Aphex Twin
Screaming For Vengeance - Judas Priest
Lonerism - Tame Impala
Currents - Tame Impala

I've been meaning to listen to Blanck Mass

I didn't like it much but if you're into industrial, metal, and synthpop you'll definitely get a kick out of it.

Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

Big thanks dude!
I've heard that record before and really enjoy it. I forgot to mention I enjoy emo too. More on the melodic side tho.

bump

Listen to this, it's terrific:

My Spanish Heart - Chick Corea

Not really based of what you like or anything, but I recently pulled this album out of my backlog and I find it absolutely amazing.

I've been meaning to watch that movie for so long

It's a great movie, even better if you catch all the references.

Do you know where I can see it?

Other than buying it on Amazon and other legal means, torrent's your friend.

Thanks!

Anytime, user.

W.A.S.P. did a pretty good Industrial album called KFD

Oh shit really? I always thought they were just an 80's metal band

my own EP, inspired by Tim Hecker and Gigi Masin if you like that shit :)

Yeah, their 80s music is mostly glam stuff, before The Headless Children.
They have some good later albums like Babylon / Dying for the World / Unholy Terror / Still Not Black Enough.
K.F.D. is their only foray into Industrial.

Not entirely synthpop, but SAFIA - Story's start or end. Their album before that also wasn't bad.

These are all some cool recs thanks, keep em coming if you can

Ohhh gotcha, thank you for recommending! I'll be sure to listen to it
