Duh

Hope they do more like it

I don't get the appeal of this band and I like all the genres they've tried

>I don't get the appeal
The appeal is that they make good music.

Yikes

Cringe

They aren’t that good

I disagree, I like it

Bands who have large discographies tend to have this effect on people. You listen to a few albums once or twice and they don't really click so you write it off as the band's being quantity over quality and dismiss them. It's the same with artists like Neil Young, Frank Zappa or Robert Pollard/Guided By Voices.

IMO, I've listened to many bands/artists who are extremely prolific and I find very little indication that only putting out one album every few years yields better results than putting out multiple albums in one year. There are some bands/artists who wouldn't really be able to do this (typically bands who are very very well produced and have very dense recordings with lots of overdubs) but overall it doesn't really matter.

Gizzard only sounds good live

this is literally every gizz thread.

we get it, your favorite genre is better than gizz, you're really really really cool for liking it

their newest was decent. Planet B confirmed banger

I loved it, i have a soft spot for spoken word over instrumentals
like lulu
Personally prefer Polygondwanaland, and I'm currently trying to rank Infest The Rats Nest. Perihelion is fucking amazing.

no spoilers here weeb. lulu is bad get over it

Poly is their magnum opus for sure. Best set of three songs in an album I've ever heard, Inner Cell - Loyalty - Horology is perfect.

here we see the brainlet in its natural habitat

I've seen someone praise each and every song on their new record
not all in the same post but at least one user seems to find every song amazing at one point

it's weird

That's a pretty nice sign the album was good. Venusian 1 and Hell were the lowpoints for me, but even then the lows were not very low.

Yeah, and Crumbling Castle is one of the best things they've ever done
