From what I can gather her father has been largely absent during her life. I'm the og clairofren and I've combed through all her online pics since fall of 2017 when Pretty Girl was released. She has tons of pics with her and her dog Tucker in the years before Pretty Girl went viral but very few pics of her with her family together. Of the handful of family selfies her Mom is the other person there the most, then her older sister and Geoff almost never appears. She seemed lonely and isolated during her middle and high school years, there are a lot of videos of her playing with Tucker alone in her house and doing online stuff sitting on her bed. You can see how she still uses her phone like a pacifier, it seems like it might have been her only companion besides her dog and hamster during most of her adolescents.

Geoff setting her up with his industry connections might have been out of guilt for not really being there because of work obligations. He's probably not a bad guy but it doesn't seem like he's been there for Claire like a good father should have been.
