Here's QOTSA
Album Tier Lists
Other urls found in this thread:
Haha good joke list, OP. Now post your real one.
this except move every album to f tier
Haha thanks. Honestly I only put villains B because I REALLY like a couple songs. Otherwise it's C.
Let's see yours
This is almost objectively correct, you just have to swap OKC and AMSP.
Template
all shit.
I'm too lazy to remake this one for the post-rats era but here you go
Really shit desu
This is the actual real list, AMSP is among the big bois
>era vulgaris s tier
Where is infest the rats nest, and how is IIYMF so low?
>Where is infest the rats nest
Read my post fuck-o. That said I loved it and would lean towards putting it in A right now.
>how is IIYMF so low?
More of an "important" album in their development than one I want to listen to. Everything on it is like a worse version of stuff they did better later
I know I read your post lol, I was asking where you put it. Should have phrased it better
no elo
bump help and with the beatles up a tier
Just search up QOTSA tier list
>pablo honey and king of limbs bad
lmao fucking plebs are so predictable
More like all s tier.
>cop S tier
Because Pablo Honey is even close to be on the same level as the rest of the rest of their discog? TKOL is debatable, it's just not my cup of tea. Stop trying to feel superior by being a contrarian you absolute buffoon. Not that being a contrarian is bad, just be smart about it.
Would put Variations on Darkness at low A tier probably
>tangerine reef above strawberry jam
what teh fug
still respect you for putting Here Comes the Indian that high
Correct
Ok but how are EV and LC bad? Obviously you like their more rock focused stuff so you should at least like half of EV
>C tier is bad
You had strict parents, huh?
very based, i would put rated r with sftd and swap s/t with villains
wtf has happened to this board? Thought Government Plates and Notm were board favourites
Deftones
absolutely terrible taste
i think Hours has 3 of his personal best songs (Seven, If I'm Dreaming all my life, and Dreamers), which is why it's ranked higher
Well, I'm not 16 years old anymore so that band doesn't really speak to me.
>Nashville skyline is c-tier
Pleb successfully filtered
Correct. Valtari is underrated
Also correct
Nice scripted joke fag, how about you show me what you like?
Shit taste
Let it be is supposed to be the naked version
Abbey Road is a high B+ but not quite an A
retard
Yikes
Objectively correct
Almost right just knock down Meddle to B and move Saucerful above Wish
Station to Station, Scary Monsters, and Low are S tier, Aladdin Sane and Ziggy Stardust are not. Lodger is A tier. C and D tiers are more or less accurate.
I almost agree, but I think that Californication belongs in B, OHM in A and BTW in S.
AnCo, next Death Grips
here's my anco list lol
Saucer up there is contrarian but this is pretty fukin based
I am right
other than clockwork being in b instead of a, pretty based shit friend
wow what a coincidence these also line up with how rym ranks them and literally every other npc faggot. kys
jenny in F is a quality gag but is honestly no lower than A, incredibly based and accurate otherwise
yeah pretty much, except fishies is f-
bump it up
Jenny Death is not only DG's worst album but their only bad album, and I will stand by that
Incredibly samey sounding with too many similar songs. Centuries of Damn, Turned Off, and Beyond Alive are complete shit, every single one, and are so ridiculously similar and boring.
Too many songs are too long. The Powers that B is too long. Turned off is too long. So are Centuries of Damn and Beyond Alive.
The opener, I Break Mirrors with my Face in the United States is easily the worst opener in DG history. I frequently forget it's a track on this shit album.
The closer is, again, the worst in DG history, and despite being an instrumental leftover from GP, it's still better than the rest of the tracks.
Why a Bitch Gotta Lie is a gimmicky filler track.
The ONLY good songs on the thing are On GP and PSS PSS, 2 of their best songs.
The thing is a pile of shit. The only DG album with multiple outright bad songs.
Bad production, repetitive and un-imaginative guitar throughout, literally copy-pasted drums that are mixed extraordinarily badly in with the track, the only good thing on this album throughout is Stefan's excellent vocal delivery.
The second worst DG album IMO is Exmilitary or YOTS. But both are at a MINIMUM 8/10s. Jenny Death is a 3 for me.
My taste is impeccable.
Weird taste
>S: Era Vulgaris (+ B Side)
>A: Eponymous
>B: Lullabies to Paralyze, Songs for the Deaf
The other records don't rate for me
>Why a Bitch Gotta Lie is a gimmicky filler track.
shit taste
based as fuck. the wall could have been lower and animals is A tier in my opinion but other than that this is based
imagine putting the ep in d tie
>Golden Country Greats in C
Retard alert
>Father in D tier
What the fuck man...
I'm into this but I think Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief are both A's
Sung Tongs has NEVER done much for me. First two tracks are excellent songs but the rest of the album is not my thing.
I'm into this
>John Harding in S
fuck yes
I'm into this, Let It Be is more like a B for me. Rubber Soul is like a C.
I really enjoy Division Bell personally, also no Final Cut? That's honestly one of my favorites I know I'm weird.
>One Hot Second in S tier
Uh OK I guess I think that album absolutely sucks cock but good to see another RHCP fan on here. Stadium Arcadium is *not* a perfect album but it's at least a B just cus all of the great songs on it.
Fine ratings but You Are Not Our Kind is more like a C for me.
Pleb filtered by government plates
>animals should not try to act like people A tier
based
as much as i appreciate an effort post i gotta say youre totally wrong
every song off this is amazing and completely fresh with interesting instrumentals and the best lyrics out of maybe any dg album
I Break Mirrors with My Face is one of dg's best openers, perfectly setting the tone for the rest of the record while also being incredibly catchy. not sure how id describe the instrumental but its something i dont think dg has really done before outside of maybe DG is Online
Inanimate Sensation is fun as fuck and I cant get enough of the engine revving up a capella that devolves into screaming. the warping and clipping synths when ride comes in is utterly fantastic and the "bridge" with ride doing that somewhat sexy whisper rap fits the backing track perfectly
Turned Off and The Powers that B are probably the only tracks that I'd consider boring, the opening guitar sample to Turned Off is pretty cool but other than that it's pretty standard DG affair
Why a Bitch Gotta Lie is also nothing extremely noteworthy but for some reason really does it for me unlike Turned Off. Endlessly catchy, you cant not head bob to the solos. while the robotic vocals arent anything too experimental or something that hasnt been done before its still a great addition and gives the song some flair
Pss Pss, like you said, is one of their best songs
Beyond Alive sounds like a Hella track if andy and ride were in the band, only less math rock influenced. Ill agree that its definitely not deserving of that 6 minute length but for what it is it's a solid track
Centuries of a Damn is 100% carried by ride's vocals but i wouldnt say that makes it a bad track. again, it is a little long but i feel like this is almost like an interlude into On GP. whenever i come back to On GP i have to play Centuries first otherwise GP just doesnt have the same impact
continued
Seeing as you put Fashion Week and Interview 2016 so low I can see how you wouldnt dig DG 2.0. In the context of JD its out of place as fuck especially after the masterpiece that is On GP but it's totally meant as a epilogue and to tease their next project. that doesnt mean it's automatically good obviously but if you have a problem with it's place in the track list, it adds some more meaning to it
i like it, sounds like youre running away from aliens- 4/5
im drunk and its 2 am hope this is readable
this list is objectively wrong, every Beatles album except Revolver and Rubber Soul are F-tier, and those two are B-tier
haha, previous anons here, I meant to post this.
how can one user be so wrong?
1.Outside deserves better then that come on
Diamond Dogs isn't S tier, and Hunky Dory definitely is, otherwise this bretty good
oh fuck i forgot that outside had the hearts filthy lesson
youtube.com
>Animals that low
Lord help this man
Havent heards the nest
>S/T c tier
you are such a fool
I haven't heard any of them.
>Switch S/T and white pony and then switch C-tier and A-tier
Ahh... Now it's perfect
You know I'm right
>Frizzle Fry lower than Punchbowl
>Brown Album same tier as Antipop
I only ever pull out Darkwing and Absentia anymore so I'm going off of my memory from like 10 years ago when I used to really be into them and also I never got around to listening to their early shit. Also I was somehow completely unaware of Metatonia. I think I've only listened to Up The Downstair once all the way through (I just bought it for Synesthesia). Sky Moves Sideways I've also only listened to like once and I don't remember any songs on that one. But they're fine - they're not bad or anything.
I know a lot of people really like Stupid Dream but outside of Even Less and Stranger By the Minute it doesn't really interest me. Blank Planet used to be one of my favorites but now I just think it's cringy edgelord music with lyrics that are bad even by Steven Wilson standards.
> Reality in S
> Hunky Dory in B
> Alladin Sane in C
> TMWSTW in B
> BTWN in D
Tabula Rasa is the crown jewel of the 90's
pretty good
Lullabies should be much higher though
>shitting on an otherwise great album because of that xbox meme
not even a bad tierlist apart from that but damn
you got literally everything wrong except for Nonagon
how come nobody likes Jenny Death? It's one of my favorites from them
okay, but A and B tiers need to be swapped
Flash is straight F tier, News of the World is B
otherwise patrician
This is correct
The only tier list that we can all agree.
>braindead npc that helped ruin anco music is also a hip hop listening nigger
who would've thought
Based, although I would put Scary Monsters in at least A-tier
Loveless is overrated and forgettable, what are you talking about?
>loveless so far above their other albums that you cant even see them
based
I can some what agree with that, not too radically different from mine. Do you just not like the other ones?
couldn't begin to argue with this
Forgot to add Akumo No Uta to A-tier
t.dicket contrarian
Good list, I like all of them but this is a good order
>Signify and Stupid Dream that low
>In Absentia SS tier
In a year's time you're going to look back on this and laugh.
Unlike Slipknot and Linking Park, SOAD actually has important lyrics on many topics and issues and not about how they think they are going insane.
Yeah, pretty much.
honestly it might just be recency bias (although I doubt I'll change my placement for Signify)
I'm more surprised you didn't mention that FoaBP is in S tier
Iowa is the best slipknot album
you guys forgot to post one of the greatest rapper of this generation
The Great Annihilator, The Seer and My Father Will Guide Me up a Rope to the Sky are my top 3. On the other hand I can't stand To be Kind or Soundtracks for the Blind.
Pretty good, but i would swap the division bell and meddle, would probably move AMLOR up to B and maybe obscured by clouds down to C
>Endless River above Animals
What the fuck is wrong with you
Sorry I like prog crimson more.
Just having PFs top 3 most popular albums at the top makes me sad. You should relisten to their stuff a few more times
So people that like Fishies exist?
Mostly agree, except for the 90s Bowie stuff. The electro beats have aged like milk to my ears.
Gotta give his stuff a full listen. Something always comes up before I get through a full album. Skeleton tree was decent though
You gotta give Snitch another shot, esp given your two S tier picks
Has RHCP truly made anything S tier?
I can't see Fishies being that high. Maybe B because I have buyers remorse.
I can agree with this. Now I know you put Villains B which is pretty good, but I'd say it's just as good if not a bit worse than LC.
Villains has those mellow, synthy songs like Villains of Circumstance along with the more traditional rock songs like Head Like a Haunted House and The Evil Has Landed. In my opinion the only thing bad about the album is the "inconsistency" which I think is most people's issue. Unlike SFTD which is very obviously a rock album but has it's soft song or two, and unlike LC which is a depressing album but has it's rock song or two, Villains doesn't really know what it is, but at the same time I think that's why it's good. It's just a collection of some really good songs (minus one or two)
C tier good. I just think this others are better.
In my opinion YOTS is too short and has issues.
Little Richard and the Horn Section are both really boring, Disappointed is meh, and the rest of the album is generally great.
Just not as complete or encompassing as anything else they've made aside from Jenny Death. Still a good album though, 8/10.
Tkol is god tier but I get why people are filtered by it.
Pablo Honey is F tier.
>endless river not bottom tier
Might want to get your ears checked
Can't really disagree, its a lot stronger as a mix than individual songs which is why I figured you'd enjoy it more if you like NOTM
>Basement Tapes in S
cool
>Freewheelin in C
not cool
how is your taste pleb, good, and shit all at the same time?
Swap Black Star and Low, move Scary Monsters to S, and move Diamond Sogs to A
I honestly wonder why you say that
Train of Thought at S / SC at D
>shit
Scenes at S / Awake not above I&W
>pleb
Debut not all the way at the bottom
>good
>Murder of the Universe D tier
>I’m In Your Mind Fuzz that high
Teens of Denial shouldn't be that low but everything else is correct.
Teens of Denial felt very underwhelming to me. There are only about 3-4 good tracks on it imo
This is why people hate Beatlesfags
Vincent and Costa Concordia alone make it A tier for me.
Objectively correct NIN list.
>shitting on an otherwise great album because of that xbox meme
I don't know what that means.
Thank you
>Amplifier worship not in S
...is what I would say if I was a retard. It should actually be in SS.
>let it be better than please please me
nice b8
Fuck off Dave
Much better, although I would argue s/t isn't nearly A-tier. Too many weak tracks
why would you ruin this absolutely correct list by placing hesitation marks on s?
correct
It's an amazing album. Rich soundscapes, amazing percussion work, varied, song properly develop. It is everything Slip/Teeth lacked.
Why do so many people hate NOTM? I just don't really understand the hate, it's personally probably my favorite Death Grips album or at least top 3. I understand people having different viewpoints and opinions etc. but it seems pretty universally hated
literally my exact chart, good taste user
If you really wanna say that TKOL is one of their stronger efforts then whatever I guess, but Pablo Honey is in a totally different (worse) league to EVERYTHING else that they've shat out and this should not be up for debate.
I honestly haven't listened to it in like ten years; I was just giving it a shout out because Avon is the first song I ever learned on guitar.
>A
OK Computer, Kid A
>B
AMSP, The Bends, In Rainbows
>C
HTTT, TKOL, Amnesiac
>D
Pablo Honey
I used to say it was there best, then one day I was listening to it and I thought "wtf, this is just random bullshit" and I've never listened to it again.
Decent list but here's the objective reality
the slip and with teeth are fucking great you fuck
*Their
FUCK
It's actually they're* idiot
808s is underrated
TCD is S tier btw
Yeezus is too low
This is both a tier list and a ranking; the order inside the tier matters too
Yeezus isn't low enough
TCD isn't that good
808s isn't underrated
MBDTF falls off in the second half
Late Registration is by far the best
>This is both a tier list and a ranking
A tier list IS a ranking you fucking invalid.
ye is at least A, Yeezus is D, and Late Registration is the best one
What should I have called it then, huh?
You should have said something like "the placement of the albums along the x axis matters as much as their placement along the y axis"
I said that the order inside the tier matters too?!
Correct rankings coming through.
>Starless and Bible Black lower than Beat and Three of a Perfect Pair
I'd put it higher than both, maybe bump ITCOTCK too, depending on my mood atm. Otherwise an extremely solid ranking
pretty accurate overall. Although I think their first album should be at the bottom
what a wierd thing to say, it took me three hours to chuckle at this
i have to disagree, i think the album flows really well and is consistent. there is a narrative of life and joy and helping all troughout the album and the sharp guitar tones are all harmonious. if people disliked it, it's because it came after LC. this is the day of LCs night. its still very innovative and overall ver cool.
fixed that for you
Thank you, kind an- hey wait a minute, this isn't my ranking! You didn't fix it at all! In fact, you made it worse!
>elseq and NTS two tiers apart from each other
but why
Absolute Reddit-tier ranking holy shit
it's like they fixed everything that was wrong with elseq when they released NTS Sessions. the amount of stand out tracks in nts compared to elseq is ridiculous
mbv is higher lol
>Half of the thread is AnCo, Death Grips or Radiohead
please listen to different music lmao
>times they are a changing in C
The guy has so much material it's basically impossible to objective list
this
The Weakerthans
S:Reconstruction site, Live at the burton cummings
A:Left and leaving, Reunion tour
B: Fallow, The Falcon Lake Incident
what do you have against the instrumentals??
Thugga thug
Chief Sosa
Here's the correct list.
Objective list coming through
pleb spotted
go listen to everything (the song on hm) and tell me its S tier
I would only switch larks tongues to s too
