I’m glad we’re having this discussion rn because I got heavily into Broadcast in the past month or so and I gotta say that Tender Buttons is their only overrated albums.

The Noise Made By People, Haha Sound and even Witch Cults are superior records. At least in my opinion.

Witch Cults is actually my favorite. I get that not everyone can dig it, but it's such a cryptic and fragmented approach to psych-pop that it instantly clicked with me as the logical culmination of their music.

I can't imagine what they would have done if Trish were still alive, but I think they would have continued on in the more experimental vein, based on late live performances and the Berberian Sound Studio OST.

Man we really missed out on some great stuff. I’m filling out favorites for this decade rn and it doesn’t feel right without any Broadcast

Hey i found this CD for €2,50 and after playing the first song and skipping through the rest I bought it.

This album is a really great find for €2,50, and every time i play it, it reminds of the low low price of €2,50.

Maybe if i bought it for €9,99 I could be more objective about this. But this is a REALLY good €2,50 album.

I think it's a good starter choice because it's not too long and has such a great lead single. The softness of the earlier stuff can mislead people though the albums are better.

I listened to Ladytrons latest album and it was pretty good. Not nearly on the level of the other bands listed in this thread though. I am intrigued by your confidence though. I still have to check out Witching Hour before I come to a better understanding with the group though. Is that a good place to start?

yes. witching hour is incredible and much better than anything made by broadcast and stereolab. also you need to check out at least 604 or light & magic when ladytron were straightforward synthpop.
