I used to think metal wasn't real music. This album changed my mind.

this. finally a metal album for non-retards
king gizzard is really good at making 6/10 albums
>August 16th, 2019 I am forgotten
Stoner-Thrash under appreciated
Remind me later
Posting this on every thread won't make it true
this is a 7 and poly was a 10
God King Gizz fans are utterly retarded. Blown away by mediocre shit.
Sad but true. Maybe they should take thier time with thier next record
This. It was pretty good. I really like how they blended their signature sound into thrash - I didn't expect it to work, but it did.
Also based, poly is a 10 for sure.
It’s the state of rock right now. There’s so much corporate/quantized/mediocre buttrock that anything slightly different blows people away. It doesn’t matter that it’s just endless rehashing of 60s/70s/80s stuff
I really hope there’s a rock revival in the 20s
I'd consider Nonagon a solid 8, honestly.
anyone else like gumboot soup the best
Nonagon and Mind Fuzz are definitely at least a 7
Sounds fucking retarded and highly repetitive, with no soul. nothing that made me stop and say "wow this shit is good!"
Fucking mediocre, because of shit like this metal is dying a very slow and humiliating death.
the drums sound so fucking bad
That shit sounds like a cheap imitation of metal.
It took an indie band imitating metal for you to realize that metal is actually good music? You thought metal fans were just pretending to like it for the last 50 years?
Yes. Metal fans are the reason why people think Metal isn't good music
I'm sorry you've missed out all these years, user. You can like metal and not be an autistic metal nerd.
not the best but like top 2/3
>Stoner-Thrash
This is basically what High on Fire has been making since they started
Shhh. Don't tell the King Gizzard kids. They don't know yet. This album is full of Black Sabbath and Motorhead riffs too.
lol yeah Mars for the Rich starts off sounding exactly like a Motorhead track
but that's a good thing user.
It's AOTY and GOTY
>Not trying something because you don't like the fans
I hope you can grow up one day, user
yes
i liked all the songs with kenny on them
I've been listening to metal for almost 20 years and I listened to this today to see what all the hubbub was about. Really fun stuff for sure, 7 or 8 out of 10 from me, but then maybe I'm not so protective about it like some other metal fans because thrash metal was never really my thing.
nice dubs
It's weird - I don't recall seeing diehard boogie fans shit themselves over Fishing for Fishies. I like some metal (not by any means a metalhead, but played with a guitarist who was as much) and this is a good "Gizz does thrash" for me
