There's no debate. VDC is an eclectic conceptual beautifully crafted album, whe ywnkw is 'just' a great pop album. They cant compete and vdc is way more relevant in every way

VDC but I think both are pretty good. YWNKW really suffers from not being as conceptually / thematically unique or distinct as VDC, so it just ends up being a bunch of pretty good indie pop songs rather than a bunch of really good, glitchy, unique indie pop songs.

YWNKW is a perfect compilation of indie pop.
VDC experiments with electronica and shoegaze and it doesn't work that well, but is still pretty good. Just listen to Loveless. It's much better.

vdc is obviously better. have never heard anybody say they prefer the other album other than the fact that it's "less noisy" or something like that. which is fine, but that doesn't make vdc worse.

It's honestly down to personal preference. I personally prefer VDC but if people prefer YWNKW I can respect it
