Made a very short 5 song e.p/beat tape using only factory sounds from my new Volca Sample. Still getting to grips with it so I'm not entirely sure on all the hidden features etc. dirt is meant to be grimey but it's rough as fuck and now i'm having second thoughts about putting it on the album.
RECS:>hollowsinatra.bandcamp.com/releases this is legit really good. Gave you a follow on Bandcamp, and I'll listen to the record fully when I have a bit more time. Mixing on the vocals is great. A little bit cheesy but still top quality production and mixing. I love how energetic, chaotic and layered the guitars are. Having the same tone guitar playing at different imperfect rhythms adds a lot of character.
>blurrr.bandcamp.com/album/pain-is-a-garment oooooo wow your ambient stuff is actually super super quality. love your sound design and textures bro. 10/10 would trip to this vibe.
recc/review some of your tracks are too loud the aesthetic is nice you should pronounce your lyrics with more oomph you need ad libs with your rap the lightning track could have a another vocal track on it tbqh excellent real heavy reminds me of alec empire a little too minimalist for me the guitar is missing for half the track Augury needs a bass guitar i would not pay for this, take it as you will this needs a heavier bass EQ
I'll come back later and review more people if you guys check my music out. Thanks everyone.
Chill out on the snare, I think it just needs to be a little less harsher sounding.
The high hat sounds good, just make it a tad bit less quieter
I feel like the 808/kick has no weight to it.
Overall the feel of the "feel" of the song is there, but there's no tension to the beat. No high or low points, it just keeps going with no significant change. Also the mix just seems to be very loud, and in your face. I think this can be attributed to too many mid-to-high end sounds muffling that spectrum
Past this criticisms, I like the weird, almost other worldly hook you have with the synth. Keep making music
I only listened to reflex so I'm only gonna give my opinion on that.
Firstly, those drum beats are sick af. It sounds almost like an amen breakdown gone electrifyingly wild. Also the LP filter effects are cool and well used The mixing is pretty well done too, everything is heard well when it needs to be heard. My critique on the track is that just too many things are happening, and it muddles the experience of the song. Like am I supposed to listen to the drums, or the monosynth on top of the track. These heavily conflict especially with how dynamic your drum is.
Another small thing (again only an opinion, you don't have to give two shits about what I say) I would want to make the pitch of the snare to evoke more dynamic change in the song
new album "day of wrath" out now. also a note on the album "depressive suicidal black coffee" - it was published by mistake (hence the embarrassing working title) so i decided to leave it up for free for now. i'll remove it on November 12 - which is also the release date for my next album.
Me:(You) thanks man, love your stuff the jungle drums are dope chill stuff, like the vocals and artwork youve nailed that sound youre going for, good stuff
Fourth and final single for my upcoming project Spider-Man: Redux. The album is based album on the original Spiderman video-game for PS1 Any feedback is greatly appreciated (:
very comfy atmosphere and solid sound, but too much wankery, filler and too little substance. ofc don't let me stop you from making the music u want to.
great stuff. rhythm guitar sounds great. really like the tone of the second song. i like the instrumentation. the vocals are a bit too lifeless in my eyes on the track you linked. really enjoy the song wonder if i can. its a lot more interesting to me as the slow sounds of songs like "cat" are much too played out in terms of originality in songwriting but i do think the tone is very nice. the parts where you use your voice more as a rhythm instrument i like and i think you could extrapolate on that in the future. this is an extreme example but what i mean is like this: [YouTube] Parsec (embed) i think it would be cool if on a song like dont be forever, you layer two vocal tracks. that might be nice.
it messed up the link when i reposted. this is the song i was linking about the rhythm stuff youtu.be/Jimxs2RPnl4?t=135

yes, the volca is a limited 16 step sequencer so obviously it's not meant for full songs that are rich in features. i was just doing what i could on the device
