I wouldn't go to the camping style festival like Glasto on my own, but there are a plenty of festivals near city centre where you can stay in a hostel and socialize as much as you want or go for a single room if you're an autist

I don't know what you're talking about. In Europe generally a solo gig is 50-100 EUR and at festivals you per that much per day, even less if you go for early bird tickets before the line up is announced. The view argument is also a BS, I saw all my favourite artists(ranging from obscure ones to the ones like Radiohead) from the front rows bc people don't care about them, they mostly go to rap/pop artists and drink overpriced beer in the meantime
shorter play times are real pain though, also the random crowd that doesn't pay any attention to your fav band but simply happen to pass by when they're playing is annoying as hell

Get a job working at a festival (bars or security) I used to go to 4-5 festivals every summer and work on the cocktail bars.

Two paid shifts and then the rest of the time you get to explore, if you can't make friends at a music festival (where everyone wants to have fun and meet new people) then you'll never make it.
