The one with the green house, with the green lights above it, where the whole thing's hazy. Somebody post that one.
Slint - Spiderland
Marateck - Time is Over
Definitely a new fav of mine
Thanks, gonna check it out.
Didn't the mexican on the right tried to kill himself some years ago?
...
Also what burns never returns
You my friend have exquisite taste.
Colossamite - Economy of Motion
Silencio - Dead Kings
more.is.more - AUX
Nobody has mentioned the greatest Math-rock album of all time yet. Disappointed
But that's post hardcore
toe - For Long Tomorrow
Discipline & Beat by King Crimson are pretty much math rock albums and are essential for getting into them
hell yeah
I think that's the one this user thought about
its the better one anyway
Daughters - Hell songs
Not purely math rock but you'll either love it or hate it. Best tracks imo are "Cheers Pricks", "Daughters spelled wrong", "Recorded inside a pyramid" and "Providence by gaslight".

toe the band
Utsukushii Shuumatsu Cycle - Jyocho
based
for some reason I could never get into it. even their s/t sounds better
you don't like American football?
reminder that Don Caballero 2 is pretty much better than these albums on all fronts but it’s shown no love because people don’t listen to bands on this board beyond their most popular albums
listen to Cheval de Frise user

straight up not true. anerican don is their best
every time i see that i think of the Clikitat Ikatowi record that came out around the same time lol
american don is less orchestrated, focused, and timeless
Their best is actually the collection of early singles
oxes - s/t
dc2 is their best
i can also agree to this
This is fucking cash. At least 7/10.
this is better
>Colossamite
i love their whole discography
There are none, most pointless genre ever invented.
maybe contemporary math rock but that shit was pretty banging in the 90s
No, it's rudimentary boring shit. The only interesting stuff is noisy prog stuff that somewhat overlaps like Tera Melos, PAK, Yowie etc.
Based
One of the earliest and greatest math rock albums now going on 30 yrs
math rock is objective one of the most interesting genres in existence
Lol someone who likes Tera Melos is trying to tell other people his taste isn’t pleb
Every track is 2-3 figures, repeated just enough times for the odd time signature to add up to a multiple of 4 with a few soloistic, primarily rubato passages to connect them. Timbre tends to be fairly uniform.
i understood 20% of what you said, autistkun, but surely it's better that 4/4 for the entirety of the album just like most every other genre does, no?
No, the selection of time signature is more or less arbitrary and not at all indicative of musical complexity and thus interest.
whatever you say
>the selection of time signature is more or less arbitrary
It is. It's like arguing that somehow you generate more musical interest by composing in F rather than G, whereas in reality, you would pick your key signature mainly for practical reasons such as orchestration, just as you would time signatures mainly for notational convenience.
mine favourites:
Hurl - A Place Called Today
Slint - Tweez
you are retarded and don’t listen to much music
This, so this. These guys are from my home town.
also
These are both great its hard to say which is better
I would recommend:
TTNG - Animals
Standards - Friends
Covet - Effloresce
Delta Sleep - Ghost City
"How does composition?"
