I was listening actively to lots of stuff earlier this year. I made it a point to listen to Bandcamp's album of the day, and everything Fantano reviewed. I got burned out a few months ago, as everything just seemed to be mediocre.
It seems there hasn't been much interesting stuff this year so far, or am I just getting old?
I've been a fan of her youtube channel for a while, didn't know she released a record. Thanks user
(OP)
Definitely that one.
I stopped listening to mainstream hip hop after everyone started sounding like Migos. Does this offer anything new?
Step aside plebs, real artist coming through
it's not just you, this year has been trash

TAKE ONE LOOK IN THE MIRROR
IMPLICATIONS SO CLEAR
It's not Yea Forums core, but I still think it's the best album. In general, not the best year for music so far though.
Besides this, maybe King Gizard and the Lizard Wizard or Little Simz.
were they intentionally ripping off The United States of America's s/t cover?
Yes, glad you picked up on that. The album is a homage to the music of the 60s and 70s.
tempted to say billie eyelash's album even though i hated it. actually cant think of a decent album from this year
nice, i'll get to it later, sounds interesting
how was jackson macintosh album
i like tops his solo album any good?
Sounds good, I'd love to hear what you think. Especially when this is an album that Yea Forums and fantano haven't mentioned, despite being fairly popular.
I like tops, didn't care too much for the Jackson Macintosh album last year though. But it did show potential, hopefully he continues trying to do stuff on his own. The song I Wish I Could Feel Like I Used To reminded me of a more modern Phil Collins. I hope he hones this sound a little more. He just needs a little work learning to do melodies on his own.
I'm feeling a 4/10 on his self titled

you can listen to the whole record on Bandcamp drugdealerband.bandcamp.com
Just check it out on spotify. You can listen to the full album there. starts off with a great opening track too.

Based answer user. [sLUms] crew and their associates is the most exciting collective in music right now, along with the 22a label for UK jazz.
agreed, I don't understand how they can put out so many great projects. Also listen to Lex Saffianos - Bifocals. Its very much sLUms inspired
This was a great listen, thanks user
Thank you for the recc, i'll definitely check it out. Can't wait to see what Standing on the Corner comes up with next.
The latest from Mahan Esfahani
Is there a "faker" musician or famous person in general than Tyler the Creator?
Mediocre album.
shoegaze/noise pop
