Music peaked in the 60s

>music peaked in the 60s
Fuck me, the wrong generation kids were right. 1965-1969 are when popular music reached the greatest heights it could reach. The best songs/albums were all from back then, and we’re left with nothing but either crap or imitators

Wrong generation fags don't listen to 60s music, they listen to garbage like led zepplin.

>wrong generation fags don’t listen to the Beatles
>wrong generation fags don’t listen to The Rolling Stones
>wrong generation fags don’t listen to the Doors
>wrong generation fags don’t listen to the Beach Boys

Music peaked in 1969

Correct.

>music peaked in the 60s
the 1860s you mean

You’re retarded

Yeah just too much talent in such small amount of time.

>babby discovered dad-rock

good for you put please don't act all high and mighty about it. We listened to all your favorite artists 5 years ago, but have since moved on.

the best periods in music were easily the 60's and the late 80's to early 90's
those were two really great periods for music

Getting really tired of this zoomer infatuation with the 60's.
When you get older and realize the 80's were the best generation for music, you can start making threads again.

how were the 80's the best
the 80's sucked cock

No. You're retarded, not even who you are replying to but he is 100% right. "wrong generation" people are ALL AOR. If you ever actually have seen or talked to these people you'd realize that what they know about 1966-1969 is solely what they digested from greatest hits comps issued for those groups by the record labels they all left. This is why Dylan's Greatest Hits albums and the Beatles Blue and Red records have any kind of life at all, they were explicitly marketed to grab the next generation of listeners to buy the back catalog, but really they only bought the compilations and then made AOR.

god the 80s fucking suck

the 80s were an interesting decade because of the amount of wealth flying around within the music industry. But there was NOTHING like the total change in pop trends you hear between 1963-1966. The charts completely changed. Everything got turned upside down. Also there was almost 0 worthwhile widely available music between 1987 and 1990.

The 70s were peak music and if you think otherwise you're wrong.

The 80s were the third worst decade in modern music unless you're exclusively into metal.

DECADE POWER RANKING, GO BROS.

60s>90s>80s>70s>10s>00s

The 70s were great too. It really is a steady decline, with the 60s at the peak. The 70s are extremely close. The 80s are a lot worse. The 90s are worse than the 80s. The 2000s and 2010s are indefensible, the only excuse for liking them is cause you grew up then and feel nostalgic

no, the late 80's to early 90's were way better than the 80's
otherwise agree

60s>90s>70s>80s=00s>10s

Music peaked in the 90s

Nah, rock was just really developing in the 60s and it only came about into its real potential with hard rock bands that went on to lay the foundations for heavy metal as well. granted the 60s had hendrix on the tail end but the 70s really defined the quintisential rock sound. It was peak guitar music.

1800's=2000's>'s

60's>90's>00's>70's>10's>80's

Or hip hop, or synthpop, or ebm. Listen to more music

Music has yet to peak. It gets better every year and always will.

Hip hop isn't music it's shit. synthpop is novelty schlock. Nobody cares about ebm.

>1965-1969 are when popular music reached the greatest heights it could reach
Brahms is not popular music.

Embarrassing

Didn't ask for your input, retard.

Noise rock, industrial, post-punk, alt-rock?

>alt-rock
>80s
You're taking the piss, right? If you're going to list alt-rock as an 80s movement, then industrial is a 70s movement.

90s > 60s > 2000s > 80s > 10s > 70s

Music peaked in the 80s and 90s with the post-industrial developments.
00s was the last good decade for music.
The 2010s has been a sea of mediocrity.

lot of hate for the 80s here

>80s pop was trash
>80s indie/alternative is fucking god tier

60s and 70s were the goat. 80s were quite good and i can't stand a lot of the 90s.

60s>70s>50s=80s>90s>10s>00s

Prog is shit, dude

based

Look at the development from the late 70s to the mid 80s. That change is incredibly drastic, as new production techniques were being discovered, and pop music was experimenting with new sounds.

yeah but these people dont know about that
Yea Forums is dead
