I love all the greats like Yes, Gentle Giant, Soft Machine, all the canterbury shit and the american stuff and it's because of that I can rule out Pink Floyd because it's all dull ponderous drivel. and then i started exploring '60's shit like jimi hendrix, the doors, and bob dylan
and then i got really into elliott smith shortly before turning 17

Yeah mcr is the edgiest thing that i listen to and the only pop punk/emo band i really like. As of late tho, i have been getting into joy division, in utero, and smashing pumpkins, and thanks user, ill give that album a listen.

Regardless tho, i still stand by that MCR has made some of the best music ive ever heard. i dont know why i like them so much, i just do.
