Incredible stuff, epic.

I suspect you are pretty happy with your early attempts based on my suspicions about who a major influence might be. I’d suggest tightening up the drums a bit and giving them more weight. Also you probably want to mono a lot of the low end on your second track. These are pretty good mixes though on earbuds from what I can tell.

ive been using some shitty samples for my drums, i cant really figure out a good drum machine vst. using arturia spark. been trying to find something more catered to rock style music but im at a loss..

Don’t be discouraged just keep on keeping on. As for tightness and weight - compression limiting eq maybe some light distortion / saturation on the drums are the kind of tools I’d look at. Maybe also just mix around the drums and bass. Focus on that bring up the other stuff around it. Your drum samples are not great for this style though as you are aware.

I like your riffs, I think you should shorten your intros and work on your guitar tone. Also I think you should work a bit on your screams. If you have never watched art of screaming with melissa cross you should do that.
