It's actually their best work
It's actually their best work
It's one of their best, but the absolute best is The Powers That B obviously.
>blocks your path
each album is the best at being its own thing
Close but thats their second best
true
Yeah I'll agree with that
ok
yeah, but you'll get the comedians like who insist the two halves are distinct albums
i mean if you do it by halves i would say that notm is better, JD is third place
I can't listen to this band anymore.
One day something clicked and now whenever I listen to them I feel like a kid listening to Linkin Park or Limp Bizkit, Slipknot. It's just SOOOO edgy and I can't take it seriously anymore.
Me too. I used to be obsessed with them
its trying to had to be socially aware that its the opposite
I still enjoy what they do and it can still get me amped occasionally but the thing I don't like is they seem to take themselves very seriously while also projecting an image that they don't. Seems sort of dishonest. And yes I know YOTS was the farthest they've ever been from trying to look serious but still
Same.
I can't rank the albums but Govt. Plates is for sure the best.
The band's great but even thinking about them makes me shiver about my cringy Death Grips phase.
This is the high iq opinion, but quit talking about it. We cant let the normies on this board know.
government plates > niggas on the moon > exmilitary > no love deep web > the money store > jenny death > crouching tiger > year of the snitch > bottomless pit
It has the highest highs and the lowest lowes.
This. It seems that the entire DG thing was just a fad and people (including us) realized that there was much less to it than we thought, even if the music itself holds much quality.

that being said:
Exmilitary, Money Store, Jenny Death > Steroids, Bottomless Pit, Government Plates, NLDW >>>>>>>> YOTS
/thread
I still occasionally listen for old time's sake but I can't get into the visceral anger anymore. I've mellowed out a lot over the past few years
YOTS>>>>bottomless pit
BP was just a retread of their old sounds and felt like they had nothing new to say. YOTS was fresh and felt like they were trying new sounds that worked. It's one of their best releases.
EXMIL GANG ASSEMBLE
It's more that you likely found a new fad to attach yourself to. It's not complicated. Just enjoy the moment and don't linger. You're not really growing, you're just being normal and not being able to enjoy the same thing unchanged forever.
