not him, but The River is fantastic and the rest of the album sucks. There's some decent stuff in those thirty minutes, but it is needlessly padded out to fit the arbitrary 10:10 gimmick, which isn't even that impressive because they're just chucking random noises at the start and the end.
Love Gizzard, but they were in over their heads with Quarters. Probably the only album of theirs that I don't want to ever listen to in its entirety.

12 Bar Bruise is excellent garage rock. The music is very abrasive to hide its simplicity, but all the elements they're known for now were there from the very beginning.
Float Along - Fill Your Lungs is a halfway point between their early efforts and psychedelic stuff. The first and last tracks are their most popular, and for a good reason, but I like stuff like God is Calling Me Back Home and Mystery Jack.
Since you ranked Murder of the Universe last, I'm guessing you won't like Eyes Like the Sky, which is even more of a soundtrack for a story than MOTY is.
EPs are very, very raw. Willoughby's Beach is kind of like a beta 12 Bar Bruise, Angelsea is just a bunch of semi-melodic noise and not in a very good way. But not terrible. If you like your Gizzard loud and energetic, you might get something out of these.

I really like Sketches of Brunswick East, but mostly because I think Mild High Club is the superior band.

It's a good album but I'm Not In Your Mind Fuzz is my favorite track from Nonagon and Fuzz overall.
I really don't have too many negative things to say about king gizz, they're innovative and their live performances are awesome. I'm not a huge fan of the padding on some songs though, like cyboogie or rattlesnake

Just got back from their Greek Theater show tonight. It was absolutely incredible, and I was honestly left speechless at some points in their excellent performance! Truly a landmark for the band in terms of cohesive musicianship, and reaching the point to play at such a famous venue. I’m honestly a fan of everything they’ve put out past and present, and I admire them so much for their talent, creativity and work ethic.

Anyone who expresses the wrong think opinion that this band has no artistic merit, is trash or just a gimmick, needs to seriously consider the idea of committing seppuku with their throat

i was listening to rats nest at my friends place last night, we preordered the vinyl shit was pretty cash. enjoyed it quite a bit

king gizzard has a few great albums: nonagon infinity is probably their universal greatest, mind fuzz a second depending on your type of music. they usually have good music on all their albums. What i like about king gizzard is I get new music all the time and it's always different, it fulfills that desire I lack from other bands just wanting a variety of new stuff to listen to. I mean bands take like 5 years to release an album, these guys released 5 albums in one year. I won't say it's the top music, but it's very good. Their catalog is so overlooked. So good band made great from sheer output.

KGLW had some good early output, i enjoyed 12 Bar, Float On, Mind Fuzz, and Paper Mache a lot. i didn't enjoy Nonagon, Oddments, or Fishing as much, and overall i'm worried that there won't be much left for me to listen to after poly and banana. hope that their concert on the 23rd will be a good show

Yeah that is what I like about them. you can pick up an album and don't like it. Then grab another one, give it a listen and it may become your favorite album, then return to the first you didn't like and suddenly you enjoy it too.
