Chart Requests

Old thread here
I'm making charts of what I consider to be 100 essential releases in specific genres/time periods for anyone who's interested.
If there's interest, I can add the King Crimson images to pic attached. Otherwise, I'm going to do 90s post-rock as requested and ambient. Unfortunately, I've listened to under 100 djent albums total, so I'm unable to do that one. My top recommendation would be Meshuggah - I, but I'm sure user's already heard it since it's probably the most quintessential release in the genre. I'm also interested in making charts for the following if there's any interest:
60s Psychedelic Rock
Free Jazz
Noise Rock
Post-Punk
Hip Hop
Drone

Incel music

There are already a shitton of these lists, why do we need a new one? Make lists for more underrated genres such as synthpunk, plunderphonics, ghettotech, ambient pop, picopop or this

Djent

Notes:
-I've only listened to ~200-300 90's post-rock albums, so I'm sure there are others far more qualified to make an essentials chart. That being said, this is a genre that I love a lot and so, while this makes up 1/3 or 1/2 of what I've listened to, I can still recommend every album here for anyone looking to get into 90s post-rock
-The image isn't rendering for Salamander - Red Mantra (which is an excellent lesser known release with plenty of psychedelic influence)
-Before somebody mentions it, Lift Yr. Skinny Fists was not included because it came out in the year 2000 and this is restrained to the 90s
-For those who haven't seen the old thread, I'm roughly ranking these from most to least essential based on my own extensive ratings/notes. I know that genre labels/tags can often be controversial, but I've taken most of mine from rym/discogs/assigned them myself

This is an excellent point; I'll start on the ones you've suggested as I like some of those genres quite a lot. I'm not overly familiar with which charts already exist, so I apologize for my ignorance there.

Additionally, if anybody would be willing to add some of these to the wiki, it'd be much appreciated. (There were a few suggestions in the last thread about some minor modifications which I'm willing to follow through on if they can get some more support)

Also, I was only including albums (and not EP's, singles, and compilations) on the 90's post-rock chart. If anybody wants this to change, I can easily make a new one

90s house.

can u drop the free jazz one real quick?

Drum and bass?

Notes:
I'm probably about as well-listened in jungle as 90s post-rock, so while this can definitely serve as a good list of 100 recommendations, I don't know if it is perfectly representative of the genre as a whole.
-Many (5-10) of the records here were to obscure for topsters to find so the images aren't rendered
-B-side to Splash - Babylon is Heaven
-This chart contains an obscene amount of singles, so should actually be quite easy to get through the whole thing. Hopefully some lesser known jungle can now get out there :-)
-Some other records that didn't fit that I still liked:
Essence of Aura - Soul Temptation / Innersence
Tribe of Issachar - Junglist
X Project - Jah Sunshine / Callin
Kings of the Jungle - Da Kings of the Jungle Pt. 1
Congo Natty - Paparazzi / Da Beat Might Drop
Danny Breaks / Sigma - Droppin' Science Volume One / Paint It Black
Doc Scott - Far Away / It's Yours
Cloud 9 - Vol. 4
Hyper on Experience - Lords of the Null Lines
DJ Rap - Spiritual Aura
Soundman / Don Lloydie - Greater Love
D'Cruze - Lonely / Chronic Breaks AND Are We In / Heaven
Sound Station - S/T / Lost in Sound
DJ Crystl - Crystlize / Deep Space
Stakka & K.Tee - Rugged & Raw / Bad Influence
Shy FX - This Style / Gangsta II
DJ Hype - Yaman Studio Mix
Orca - Intalect / Tranquility to Earth

If you're looking for more recommendations beyond those, I have maybe 20 or so others that I like as well.

The fact that I left out such an essential E.P. as GSYBE's Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada means that I'm redoing this; then I'll continue with 90s house and some of the other more "underrated" genres that mentioned

Oh fuck yes thank you

Here are the following modifications to the post-rock chart (I removed the last listed albums for the following EPs/Singles/Compilations/etc.)
GSYBE - Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada
Slint - Slint
Bark Psychosis - Independency
The For Carnation - Promised Works
Tortoise - Gamera
Gastr del Sol - Mirror Repair
The American Analog Set - Late One Sunday & The Following Morning
Bark Psychosis - Scum
The For Carnation - Fight Songs

>Original Nuttah
Oh shit thanks! I tried to found this record by a unrecognisable preview of a cover some times ago

Holy shit, I love all these charts so far!
You got one for industrial techno?

bro how much fuckin music you be listening to?
would be curious to see if you could do a chart of 50s music (obv comps are cool)

Notes:
-I've listened to plenty here and actually consider this to be a very broad genre. I've tried to include representation from all different sub-genres from pop to video game music to acid house to deep house to euro house, but am obviously biased towards/against some of these based on my own preferences
-No image for Roger S - Deep / Vibe
-Underground Solution - Luv Dancin' should have Deep In My Mind / Afterthought on there as well
-Please check out Strictly Rhythm records if you haven't already as they have lots and lots of great 90s house singles.
-It's pretty far down, but Northern Exposure is a cool record you might want to check out if you don't listen to all of these
-I love strong bass when it comes to house music, so there's lots of that represented here

I'd love to work on free jazz next as I'm a really big fan of the genre

forgot to attach the image

Can you do a disco one? And maybe industrial?

BIG
BAD
&
HAIRY

Notes:
-I love free jazz so it's very hard to narrow it down to 100 picks. If anybody's looking for one or two hundred more recommendations, I'd be happy to help
-That being said, an honorable mention is Frank Wright's Unity. The influence from Ayler is clear and hearing him play so freely is similarly inspiring
-Ayler's live in Greenwich recordings are my personal favorite live recording to have graced this planet
-I'd recommend everyone on Yea Forums actively listens to the first row or two and that anybody trying to get into jazz listens to pretty much the whole chart
-I listed Don Cherry's "mu" as well as the first and second parts individually to stress that the first part is superior to the second and comprises the majority of the value of the whole composition. Still, I find listening to both parts together to be an overall more effective and moving experience than listening to both individually.

I think I'm going to take a break for awhile (I might need to start a new thread within the next couple of days if I don't get back to this one). Right now, the charts that I'm planning on making are:
Synth Punk
Plunderphonics
Ambient Pop
Drum and Bass (which will obviously include a good chunk of the Jungle chart)
Industrial Techno
50's Music (which I'll admit will be almost all jazz and early classical records with small bits of rock/blues/experimental/country/world music)
Disco
Industrial (which should contain some of the industrial techno releases)

Unfortunately, I've listened to
