bandwagonesque and pic related might be the best back to back albums of the 90s

Don't forget Songs From Northern Britain

Mansun's 1st 2 albums
Porcupine Tree - Stupid Dream
Shudder to Think - Pony Express Record
HUM - Downward Is Heavenward
Failure - Fantastic Planet
Anathema - Judgement
Jimmy Eat World - Clarity
The Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I
Built to Spill - Perfect From Now On
Stereolab - Dots & Loops
The Posies - Frosting on the Beater
Swervedriver - Mezcal Head
Flying Saucer Attack s/t
Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible

I could go on all day. Between shoegaze, the weirder offshoots of grunge and alternative and indie, the 90s are just the best decade for rock ever.

Personally prefer mellon collie but nice pick

pic related and are two god teir albums

Good taste user, you should definitely check out if you haven't yet.

I don't know if loveless can be posted here so this is my pick.

This is based, nice one user

probably mellon collie but siamese dream is right up there

This underrated masterpiece. But its one of the few albums from the 90s i can listen to without skipping any songs

Timothy's Monster and Demon Box are both leagues better than Blissard. Honestly the best song off of Blissard is Nathan Daniels Tune From Hawaii which isn't even by Motorsycho (it's Deathprod). That's not to say the album is bad, but they have much better to offer, even some of their later stuff like Little Lucid Moments and Here Be Monsters is stuff I'd put over Blissard

luvlass

The Holy Bible gets a lot of love, so this always gets overlooked. It might not be as thought-provoking, but I enjoy the music from it a lot more.

> one of the few albums from the 90s i can listen to without skipping any songs
What... There are so many fantastic albums from the 90. What ones are you listening to???

I love dropout but never really cared for the rest of the album

ok maybe a few more. but nobody would bother listing a UO album here

But user, pic related is their undisputed masterpiece

Attached: manicstreetpreachers-generationterrorists.jpg (500x500, 99K)

It's good too, but I still like Everything Must Go more.
They just have a decently strong discography in general. Their newer stuff isn't as good, but I'm happy they're still going. I actually enjoyed some of their most recent record, too.

Where's nimrod. at, anons? :(

Attached: Television_1992.jpg (220x220, 12K)

OP here all subgenres are fine desu, Just wanted some stuff to listen to at work and been on a 90s kick.

not really "rock", but a great album nonetheless

For me, it's Mellon Collie. Siamese Dream didn't mix things up enough for my tastes.

Not only a fine grunge record, but also a nice (and probably autobiographic) concept album about how rockers become assholes.

Another user here, I feel like Blissard has a special vibe to it. Timothy's Monster and Demon Box are better in terms of variety, but Blissard is more concise and introspective. Their entire 90's output is golden though.

Blessed thread. Lots of good picks like Smashing Pumpkins, Failure, Hum, Swervedriver etc and recommendations which I will visit later.

Pic-related is good enough to avoid skipping any tracks, and going along with the frontwomen theme and sticking with early to mid 90s only I'll also suggest Breeders-Pod, PJ Harvey Rid of Me (both Alibini produced), as well as Belly-Star, and Helium-The Dirt of Luck.

This album basically set the basis for my entire taste in music to this day. The lush guitars and melancholic melodies are present in like 80% of the stuff I listen to.

or maybe Incesticide

Attached: in utero.jpg (355x355, 21K)

this one's really special

Attached: 58543.jpg (771x768, 90K)

This +
Dino Jr - You're living all over me
Ween - Pure Guava
Pavement - Slanted and Enchanted
Yo La Tengo - most of their 90s albums, namely Painful and Fakebook.
His Name is Alive - Livonia, Home is In Your Head, Mouth by Mouth
and a lot lot more.
I used to be one of those dipshits who thought the UK had all of the good music (think obsessed with Pink Floyd, Beatles, etc)
Now I realized we have way better music.

Great record, though not exactly what people associate with rock music.

do reissues even count?

Based.

Unquestionably peak Jane's Addiction

fucking BASED

This, but I fucking hate Billy Corgan so I'll go with Kid A.

anything by pavement, polvo or unwound and maybe washing machine by sonic youth

kid a is not a 90's album ffs

>kid a is not a 90's album ffs
>Radiohead began work on Kid A in Paris in January 1999
ERM sorry kiddo, looks like the majority of it was written/recorded in the 90s ergo it is a 90s album. Please think before making yourself look stupid.

SHE WAS UNDERWHELMED IF THAT'S A WORD

my parents went to highschool with them

shit taste

i loved this album when i was a little kid
didn't really hold up very well though sadly

different album but yes, I love that song. Sloan is the most underrated band ever. so glad to see them getting some love on here.

did they all go to HS together? i thought chris and andrew met in college or something

they were a band in highschool I believe, my mom said they were the biggest band around and they played for some of the school dances

Attached: 3663_foto1_product_xl.jpg (900x900, 140K)

varnaline - man of sin
cherubs - heroin man
simon joyner - the cowardly traveller pays his toll
764 hero - get here and stay
chris knox - songs of you and me
country teasers - destroy all human life
supreme dicks - working man's dick
just to name a few underrated ones

This is an album that people should pay more attention

Attached: Horsedrawn Wishes.jpg (500x500, 52K)
