This literally sounds like a parody of thrash. Like it's taking the piss out of thrash tropes. Utterly embarrassing. Gizz fanboys will literally eat up anything they shit out.

sorry mr RAINING BLOOOOODDDDDD
How dare they make fun of thrash.

Gizz lost me when they dropped Cyboogie. The repetitive lyrics, the lack of effort towards the schtick. I still love tracks like Vegemite and The River, and Nonagon Infinity is still amazing. But fuck what the group have become. I'm actually kinda glad that Kevin Parker will retire richer than these guys.
Squares please go
Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they're making fun of the things you like user, come on now
I really liked it, I'm not really big into thrash though, so I couldn't pick it apart at a technical level.
Wished they kept the tempo consistent though, Superbug and Perihelion both feel pretty out of place, which on such a short album definitely knocked it down a peg.
Are you kidding
Perihelion is the best non single track
Along with hell
two of the best tracks on the album. Shooting for a midpoint between stoner and thrash was a good idea. Both are genres that are over saturated as shit, but a combo of the two doesn't really crop up that often
Neither are bad, just their placement after Organ Farmer and between the Venutians made them feel like a lull. I'll probably warm up to them once I start shuffling it.
Mars for the Rich is probably my favorite non-single, but Hell is a close second.
the album flows well imo, but I mean if you usually shuffle shit then I can understand not being able to into storyline albums
Didn't realize there was a storyline, haven't gotten the album yet.
Ill probably apprieciate it more then, Polygon and MOTU are both top tier for me for that reason.
>complaining about repetitive lyrics
>in a King Gizz song
>Gizz lost me when they dropped Cyboogie.
its their shtick since.... 2013?
ii'm waiting for a better quality leak, some of the tracks way too muted than they should be
you got the wrong one then
It's not a thrash album made by thrash metal band.
It's King Gizz doing their thing AND stoner-doom-thrash metal.
They made a fucking DOOM minigame, seems pretty based to me
marsfortherich.com
On the contrary it seems like a pretty loving tribute to me
Can you rec me some albums/bands that may sound similar?
Shit's insane.
You want actual thrash recommendations?
Anything would be appreciated.
>cyboogie was when the repetitive lyrics got to you
If you're looking for real 80s thrash, start with some of the big bands like Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, etc.

Metallica were the best songriters of the bunch, but don't tell any of the cool thrash kids I said that. It's cool to hate them because they were the most popular.
marsfortherich.com is based
this. it's actually better than most metal releases because they are aware of the silliness of the genre so they aren't taking themselves seriously but they still can write some fucking good riffs.
Venusian 1 is so fucking good.
The end of Hell is so good how can there not be one more track that it leads into using the same motif
It could be called infest the rats nest fuck how could they not do this
It really feels like when at the end of The River they changed to 4/4. I really wish there was more of that.
le fuck le this le shit le band
this except not this
I liked Planet B, after that their thrash shit got old.
I got into them to begin with because finally a band was making something fast paced and high energy that wasn't just more metal. Now they're just making metal. Kind of underwhelmed.
FIFTEEN INFANTRY PARATROOP INTO THE PROPELEYNE NEW SCENE
HELL'S WHERE THEY WANNA BE
INFEST
THE RATS' NEST
Did they hurt your feelings, slayerfag?
user, shut the fuck up.
>pirating the album before it officially releases
zoinks
learn to wait you spoiled brats
my copy of it got delivered early
>this fag probably doesnt even have tour tickets
kys
>waiting for an album to come out to pirate it
All these Yea Forums faggots take their metal so seriously that they can't fathom that this is just the band fucking around with a genre they like. Just buttmad that they sit in their bedrooms playing their guitars to nobody for years and a popular band can just wear their lifes obsession like a t shirt and end up beloved.
It's not anything groundbreaking, it's just a fun listen, get over yourselves.
this tbqh
I do actually for the 17th in Vancouver
So many quotable lines in this album
Let's guess what genre/gimmick they'll go for in the next album.
My guess is something electronic and synth heavy, with lower intensity
I don't know but I'm really hoping for a post-punk album although that seems kind of out of their influences.
Free jazz album as an OST for a movie.
formerly guy
I really, really want Microtonal Volume 2 and a symphonic prog album.
psychedelic disco/funk WHEN?
>trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor trapdoor
Yup
oh boy I can see this happening.
So is a high quality leak out? And would it be on slsk or should I look elsewhere? I don't want to waste my time downloading a bunch of shitty quality rips
some people got their copies already, so yeah there are a bunch of high quality rips in soulseek. also, don't be such a little bitch. it takes you literally 2 minutes to download the album, faggot.
The retardation of this post gave me a good laugh, thanks fag
oh the irony
I’ve preordered the vinyl (which hasn’t arrived) and I’m seeing them on the 18th as well, so I don’t think they’d probably care too much about me dLing it to get an early listen.
iirc the director for the recent music videos confirmed they are soundtracking one of his other projects
where's megadeth
I would wanna see ELTS 2, but in a cyberpunk setting with the synthheavy motif.
