I’m browsing this board full of likely underage high school autismos at 3:30 am because I can’t sleep because I was FUCKING retarded a few weeks ago speeding 17 over the speed limit on my literal way home from my apartment in the city. I was high as shit because my weedhead brother came to help me move my shit back to our parents’ house and a cop pulled me over. Panic ensued. Walks up to the window and instantly says my car reeks like weed even though my brother and I hit his fucking dab cart in a parking lot outside ~45 minutes prior and I had no weed on me. Puts me in cuffs. I sit in the back of this manlet’s car for 45 fucking minutes while he rummages through all of my shit. Literally all of it. Just my luck too, I forgot about the two things in my car he would’ve been looking for until he pulled them out. One was this retarded glass pipe that I hadn’t used in months. The other was 50 hits of 1p-LSD. I ended up telling him the 1p was legal but he claims that it’s an LSD analogue and needs to be tested by a laboratory to determine if I should be charged. $150 gone. Speeding ticket $250. “Drug paraphernalia” charge $250. And then what if they decide to charge me for the acid because it’s an analogue? Then I’m ultra fucked and I have no money to pay for all this shit in the first place. Fuck cops and fuck weed. I haven’t smoked weed or jerked off since and I’m just about ready to commit a violent atrocity. On top of that my parents are thinking about a divorce. How’s this for a confession, fuck

Amnesiac is much more active, kinetic and refined. It focuses on individual panoramas that are well developed rather than building this sound world through different musical perspectives (which is what Kid A does). The problem that I have with Kid A, that many of the tracks taken out of context from Kid A's world that it creates (at least i found to be) just aren't very good. A lot of tracks just sort of lounge around without saying anything musically meaningful - most of them being in this faux-kraftwerk/aphex twin style. The only songs that really affect me in a meaningful way on Kid A are HTDC and National Anthem - the rest sort of just wash over.
Amnesiac I can come back to nearly every track and find something interesting and engaging.
