I remastered and re-recorded the vocals for an older album, and this track became my favorite in the process.

I like how warm this sounds, especially the bass. Your vocals are always really nice, beautiful and emotional.
This is absolutely crushing! A little too squashed imho, but a part of that is probably just the 128kbps quality of the Soundcloud player. The bell-ish sound is cool, and obviously like always the guitars, bass and vocals are great.
This makes me think of exploring a dungeon in some PS1 game. Nostalgic.
I'd say the drums are too quiet (except the toms), if they were louder it'd probably be a lot heavier. I also can't hear bass at all, I assume there isn't one? Bass would make it heavier, but aside from that, it's really good. I dig the dark atmosphere and the distortion in the vocals really makes them stand out more, and the fluctuations in intensity are done well.
I'll tell you again that this sounds really gay, in a good way. Your stuff is the cutest and comfiest in these threads.
sad comfs
Even though it's still not good (and although IIRC you claimed to not even want to improve?), you actually are getting better. Keep going at it. The big problem is that your vocals are too dry and clear in the mix. Bad singing can be made to sound okay if it's processed right, which in this case would mean distortion and delay (if it's a subtle delay and subtle distortion, maybe delay before distortion). This type of mix wouldn't work even if you sang well, so because you don't sing well (and even more importantly, you sing lazily), it just sounds jarring.
Like all your stuff, this is great. The clean vocals in this one make me think of a vampire muezzin, haha.

This song was extremely good. I love the end 60's vibe, though I think it was too effect ladden. Anyway, the synth that comes in at 2:30 roughly is lovely. Great composition overall.

This is bretty good, kinda slow until the drums and bass kick in but otherwise solid.
Still can't believe you use vsts to make that shit
This is pretty great man, if I could suggest anything it would be just to practice to get those voice gains. And the panning is a little weird, I'm not sure why you went with the pan left it would be better centered imo.

the track 'context' is really cool, like the very modern sounding drums with the guitar tones all folding into eachother
really groovy, really like your voice man
really like the atmosphere on this, sounds like more modern dungeon synth which is cool as hell
great artist, just recc this guy for consistency and personality man
the productrion on this is so sweeping, great vocals too, really atmospheric

That music video is a VIBE. How do you make this stuff?
reminds me of some old doors or something. Im into it, would be awesome with a visual.
I'm not sure how I feel about this, I think you are for sure in your genre and doing well in that area, but it's just not for me.
you are so fucking cute and I love whenever I come across your tunes. I hope you listen to Tennyson - Fault Line sometime. I think you would love that song.
I think you should invest in some better gear so your stuff is more clean and clear, but thats just my take on it - i think you have good songs but the quality bothers me.
yep. yep, yep, yep. I feel it.

you're a strange dude. I am into this and curious why this became your fav, tell me?
people like you are the reasons these threads exist - so glad someone else takes time.
the mix seems a little "crushed" but I also feel like thats the genre and the sound you're going for - i might just be inexperienced in the genre. What do you do in the band? I have always wondered how singers can do that with their vocals without heavy damage.
i don't even need to say anything - just great as always.
you know what? I almost always hate music in this genre - but I don't know what you did here but I listened the whole way. Reminds me of listening to 2012 drill and trap music.
DUDE.
I went through a MASSIVE phase of Japanese punk rock and this feels like that. I hope you explore that type of music because I think you would LOVE IT. I could reccommend a few if you'd like.

idk i guess because the re-recorded vocals and little edits I made to the rest of the track turned it into everything this album as a whole initially strived for, just really dark, intense, and vivid, plus I don't do enough vocal performances blending harsh vocals and cleans, so in that regard this track is pretty unique in my discography

instrumentation and effects on powder keg are great and really fit the psychedelic vibe. only thing i would suggest is maybe varying the melody a bit towards the end.
heavy as shit indeed. i love just how aggressive this sound is, but the bass in the more powerful parts can get a little ear rapey.
a good foundation/beginning, but that synth melody needs to change. sounds dissonant and is way too repetitive.

new album "day of wrath" out now. also a note on the album "depressive suicidal black coffee" - it was published by mistake (hence the embarrassing working title)
so i decided to leave it up for free for now. i'll remove it on November 12 - which is also the release date for my next album.

Sounds like playing hide and seek with a homicidal robot in a prison.
This sounds so lush and "wholesome"... I hate that word but it fits this. Very narrative lyrics, a proper story but still in an absolutely lyrical way rather than in a "hurr durr the STORY is all that matters!" way.
Kinda hypnotic, but above all beautiful. If the warbly synth (or is that the rhodes?) faded in, that might sound better imho, but as soon as the song really starts, it's amazing... but the outro, lol. What's up with that? Doesn't ruin anything, but it's hilarious.
Interesting. Plunderphonics isn't really my cup of tea, but this actually sounds like a song (no offence to most plunderphoners, but a lot of it sounds like samples; this doesn't). It'd fit in the ending of a drama film, where the teenage protagonist sets his house on fire because everyone in town found out he's fucking his sister. His parents try to save him but he ends up burning to death. My only criticism is that it ends so abruptly, but I'm guessing it smoothly transitions into another song?
so glad someone else takes time.
Well, it's fun to hear new music, especially by artists that aren't famous (yet).
>the mix seems a little "crushed"
Yeah, that's a problem I have sometimes. However, if you listened on Bandcamp, then part of the problem is that the Bandcamp player for some reason flattens out pretty much all dynamics. No idea why, but well.
>What do you do in the band?
I'm just one guy, so everything. The drums are programmed and the bass is actually a guitar tuned down to drop Z, though, so...
>I have always wondered how singers can do that with their vocals without heavy damage.
No idea about anyone else, but for me it's just not doing it all the time. My screaming techniques are all wrong so if I did it daily, I'd definitely fuck up my vocal cords.
>Just dropped a new song!
Not something I'd listen to normally, but I like the "wewewewewewew" synth.
Cont.
Hunter Thomas
Pretty cool, it sounds a bit like the vocals were slapped onto a track that was already mastered and everything but it does give it vaporwaviness.
>that part on Dollfucker at 1:50 sounds so sick
Thanks!
I could've sworn I gave you feedback on this yesterday and that I'd been following you on Soundcloud already, but turns out I was wrong about both... huh. Well, it sounds abrasive and dark and reminds me of the film Creep (2004) for some reason.
Sounds like a bunch of teddy bears on a shelf contemplating their existence. Nice guitars and bass, drums could have more variety like random little fills and whatnot. Vocals sound emotional, kinda bittersweet.
Tyler Harris
It feels like I'm lounging on a large fluffy mattress staring up watching the light slowly make it's way across the ceiling and out the window. Did you make the album art yourself and are you part of a band? I really like the instruments you used.
You sound like every other rap song as of now, but I really like your voices.
Find a quiet place in your house and write down the events of the past week. Your first set of lyrics don't have to contain symbols, just follow your emotions and record them on your notepad.
