why are nerds on reddit so upset about maynerd fucking groupies? is it because they're jealous of a frontman who makes the pseudo-intellectual bullshit prog-metal they love so much?
>"It's another i used to x band or x genre in high school so it's automatically shit now thread"
People who think like this are the ultimate posers
Is reddit actually mad about that though?
I remember it was around the time I was plowing your mother.
OMG that tool looks like a penis!
High schoolers are arrogant hormone-pumped self centered retards so the things they enjoy are mostly trash. It's a fact of life. If your tastes haven't evolved since high school, it's a fair bet that you haven't either.
I got into to tool after high school
When i was fucking born you edgy shit
psst tool is another name for a penis heh heh
never listened to a tool song in my life
ama
But tool is good
23 but I'm listening to them again for the nostalgia and because they're actually releasing the goddamn new album
What are you talking about? I didn't even really "get" them until I was like 23.
19 as well. I got into them when I was 18 and I'm pretty sure I was just trying to force it
18. Then I grew back into them around 29. You'll get there, don't worry kid.
Your musical palate regressed, that's nothing to be proud of
practical and sexual. just an enema with and anima.

Tool for me is one of those bands that i know exists but never really listened to a and now can't be arsed to listen because you idealize them as an entry point to a genre you are very developed in
Yes it is. He's a garbage guitarist and a garbage composer. He shouldn't be writing songs over 6 minutes long if he's not gonna improve himself in any way
You sound like you'd love tool
You sound like you'd hate Tool
tool sucks
Tool has written one great song. They've just written it about 100 times now, and with varying levels of success.
Is The Grudge the best song by Tool?
For me, it's (-) Ions.
This, fuck you Yea Forums
I also think Boondock Saints is still a cool movie and that Dude, Where's My Car is funny.

since you're a nerd that goes to reddit why don't you answer the question?

I'd not normally agree with "growing out" of a band, but when so much of the appeal of an artist comes from their edgy anti-authority message, trite occultism, and wanky instrumental histronics the music gets old quickly. plus their guitarist is shite
never, they were always dogshit
hi lynth
Fpbp
when I lost my virginity and stopped watching naruto like everyone else (16)
never, they never appealed to me
I respect them, buy they do nothing to me, they don't invoke any kind of emotions in me and bore me to death. They feel really pseudo intellectual but that's probably because of their fanbase which is an absolute cancer.
Stop being reasonable on Yea Forums. You're supposed to call the band talentless hacks and all their fans plebs.
however long it took for the molly to wear off
Tool is among my favourite bands and it's one of the artist I can casually listen to without ever getting bored. And it's been like that mostly because I couldn't really find a band that satisfies my needs as well as it does. And the things Tool does right to me is the slower rythm, the progressive sound, the easy listen and the "darker" tone. In some way, they are their own thing. I've tried to listen to a lot of artists that people claim are similar to tool, but I actually hate those artists. Katatonia and Karnivool autistically anger me for whatever reasons when I listen to them.
I can't tell why, but for whatever reason Massive Attack is the artist that does tick the boxes as well as Tool does to me, despite the fact they are different a different genre.
Still, Tool was a great entry point for me that could have helped me in getting into bands like Swans, ISIS, Cult Of Luna, YOB, etc.
This. fuck pretty much everyone on this board. So manny edgy little posers.
I haven't yet, 20 yrs down the road
I also was 19, it was 2001
Have you ever listened to them though?
tool is both the entry and the end point, because once you've explored enough you'll realize there was never nothing better than them.

started listening to them recently aswell. also 23. It's not like i'd listen through a whole album though.
I don't understand why so many people shit themselves over that soft-rock dronefest.
