Pulse Demon, maybe?

Why is Masami such a pussy that he feels the need to rewrite his past and cut out tracks/change classic artwork just because he now thinks it was too "problematic" of him to use it? Fucking live with it.
He's always reworked releases when reissuing stuff, especially the artwork. Even the tapes in the 80s had different artwork and were often remixed on between editions. I guess he doesn't see a release as being closed and final.
lmao imagine getting a fucking tattoo of a literal talentless hack or any noise """""artist""""". kys op, you're a degenerate.
What covers was 'problematic'? The old porn magazine stuff?

Because he's a pretentious faggot
He talks about this in the Noise Mass booklet. His older release had intentionally shocking artwork and mastering. Going back to the original tapes to better represent the original studio recordings.
>Because Venereology was coming out on a death metal label, I had intentionally given it a gimmicky angel with the album artwork as well as the sound pressure to astonish the listener, but I disposed of the gimmickry in this rerelease, thereby positioning it on the same linear continuum as all other Merzbow works.
>As I re-visit these past works, my intention is to strip away the extreme embellishment as much as possible in order for the music to come across n it purest form.
Yeah, the porn stuff in particular is what seems to get to him nowadays. Urashima just put out a box-set reissue of Metalvelodrome where he removed several tracks, replaced them with new ones, "remastered" the whole album and then replaced the old porn/grotesque collages with new abstract, completely generic artwork. Similar thing happened to Venereology, only there he abstained from fucking with the artwork.
I just don't get the point. It's nice that people can now get cheap copies of an album that's usually expensive as fuck and only available second hand, but it's still an inferior version.
The sad thing is that the reworkings are never as good as the originals. Just compare Memorial Gadgets to Material Gadgets. He seems to be getting ballsier about completely reworking old material as well.
The LP and CD versions of Batztoutai are different enough that I think both are worth hearing. The CD is like a concentrated megamix.
Masami Akita had Mikko Aspa kicked out of one of his shows in Finland a while ago because Aspa reissued a 90s noise compilation that featured Merzbow on it and had a(highly distorted) picture of Hitler on the cover. Frankly, I think the man is whipped by his wife. None of this revisionist/vegan shit was happening until he remarried.
Same with Venereology. The remaster is almost a completely different listening experience. The original CD is one of his most common releases, so it's not hard to have both.
He's does seem more sensitive about it and disowned the porn stuff, but even in the 90s he was complaining in interviews about labels using bondage porn on compilations saying that his release "weren't porn" because he took the photos himself and it didn't show any sex or genitals.
My all-time favorite story of Merzbow being a dick was when he got into an argument with Kazumoto Endo about Endo's use of bondage porn as artwork for his early Killer Bug releases because Akita felt Endo didn't do his homework and didn't treat the bondage porn with the weight and respect it deserved.
Endo said something like "from that point on, I knew I had to only use bondage porn for every release as Killer Bug".
Merzbow's has always: been kind of a dick, been kind of a weird nerd, changed artwork, remixed recordings, had good releases, had bad release, had too many releases
I post every Merzbow meme I can find on my facebook account. I wonder if he would hate me and think im just a poser
He's probably not think about you at all and just feed birds at a temple
