Any recommendations for post-rock?
here's your post rock bro
Thx desu
No this list is better
>post-rock chart
>contains none of the bands that were originally labelled post-rock and part of the superior first wave
interesting list
>i want something dark and experimental
yeah ok
melancholic/nostalgic post rock?
i need some more music with an autumn feel
There is no such thing as post-rock waves, they make no sense, and anyone who uses the term is a retard.
Grails
toe gives me fall vibes
Don't listen past first wave.
The only third-wave post-rock album you'll ever need.
please elaborate
I remember this meme
The real meme are post-rock waves. Fucking Toe as third wave post-rock makes absolutely no sense and goes on to tell you how retarded the idea of post-rock waves is.
I largely agree, given the way they're set up.
First wave is essentially proto-post-rock. Stuff that influenced the genre, but predates it and was just considered experimental rock at the time.
Second wave is a brief period in the late 90's when the genre was actually formed.
Third wave is the following 20 years and encompasses literally 98% of the bands in the genre.
That's because Toe is math rock
Also bands overusing crescendos aren't post-rock
The lack of Lark's Tongues In Aspic and Saucerful of Secrets is worrysome
Do you want
>huge crescendos
>heavy riffs
>folk-ish
>electronic
>mathy
the band Toe gives me autumn vibrations
But the definitions for those waves is pure bullshit.
>That's because Toe is math rock
Which is not post-rock. Just how fucking retarded are you?
