Is there any old guys still releasing DS?
I dont trust any artist that doesn't use Scandinavian vowels as their bandname and a John Bauer image as album cover. Any recs?
Forgotten Pathways released an album in 2015. I also read in an interview about mortiis having found some older stuff he forgot about that he might release. Wether that's a new release is another question. But who knows who's behind all those dungeon synth projects. Maybe the old guard did release something incognito.
I really hope that Mortiis will pull it off. I think he will. I did not even care to listen to any Burzum after he got out. Did he play any synths? Was it any good?
This one was really good. The other two singles not so much. He also did a folk album as Varg the bard or something like that.

Cant unsee
And what's your preferred pronoun?
Where should I start with Dungeon Synth? I bought Depressive Silence's "Mourning" and really liked it. Where should I go from here? Is there something that fits more in the progressive electronic genre than in the ambient one?
He's not actually related to the dungeon synth scene but Jim Kirkwood fits the bill. Actual dungeon synth artists I can remember currently are Old Sorcery, Grimrik and Mirkwood. Those fall more into the line of berlin school/prog. I'm pretty sure you'll like Ithildin by Arthuros a lot based on Depressive Silence. I heard it's a side project by the artist behind Ekthelion. He's got a great catalog of releases aswell.
If you need more of the same try Old Tower. Maybe happier and mystical? Try Fief. Start with Fief II. Or something completely different and progressive? Lunar Lexicon by Aindulmedir. Like repetitive and psycadelic? Go for Fåntratt Kommer Upp I Tö. Tell us what you like and what you dislike.
you're not a nerd, you're just a tourist-ass poser
