>tech n9ne
cringe
>drake
yeah nah cunt
care to explain?
I think Aesop tops DOOM lyrically but technical ability is where DOOM trumps him
only listen to drake songs sometimes. guilty pleasure because his flow can be decent at times
.good point, i agree to that.
should also add: Nas, R.A the rugged man. hopsin. DMX. eminem. denzel curry. OUTKAST. 50 cent. snopp dogg. meek mill. mac miller. quadecca. non phixion. asap rocky. logic. scru face jean. immortal technique. army of the pharao. BROCKHAMPTON. sabac. M.O.P and more. all of them arent good lyricists but can have catchy songs (often good melodie)
Marvins Room is actually a great song to be honest
its catchy af. i really enjoy the bass and the tune.

Not one boring verse
HHEEEEEEEEYYYAAAAAAA
how so?
Its a crime that Hey Ya is Outkasts most well known song
My problem when listening to him is that I don’t really know what the fuck he is saying. Like it’s almost too lyrically complex. That’s not a complaint it’s just personally why I can’t get too into him.
Love MF doom’s way of packing so many rhymes into a single line. Also my simple mind can follow what he’s sayin
yes but its still a banger.
i get that. i can agree that sometimes its hard to keep up. i think he rhyme scheme can be a bit too hard. like he spits in the microphone sometimes.
"poopoo head, she's a poopoo face, a caca poo poo"
-tech n9ne, wheels like hill
thats called mf bars nigga
he's up there as one of the most creative, for sure, but his flows aren't great and he's nowhere near as entertaining as somebody like MF DOOM or Andre 3k
these are all 2deep4u rappers for 12 year olds who like unironically believe in the illuminati
like who?
Aesop Rock, MF DOOM, KRS, the list goes on...
>white rapper
Cringe
Yes. OP is literally the only exception
oh god
Aesop has the best vocabulary in rap. by a decent margin. But in terms of flow, DOOM absolutely has Aesop beat.
fuck off Dane

aes' verse in this is one of my favorite ever
Aesop appeals to people who like using a lot of words to say very little.
Yeah I hear this. Some of Aes songs I had to look up the lyrics and study them just to get a handle on what he's even talking about. He sure lives up to his name when it comes to creation of allegory and fable with a subtext.
Examples: The straightforward media machine hate of Zero Dark Thirty vs the befuddling bafflement of context in Fumes.
What the fuck else is the genre of Rap?
I'd argue that he says more than most artists. He actually talks on subjects of value rather than mumbling, beefing, or self aggrandizing.
*Blocks your path*
I agree but it's not just because "muh big words". Of course that's part of it but I think he appeals to a lot of (white) people because he raps about everyday things that they relate to and despite using big words he comes off as very down to earth. He also produces a lot of own stuff and is very talented in that regard too.
Tech N9ne was my favorite rapper when I was 13 too it's okay you'll grow out of it.
