Anime

>makes the same song for the hundredth time

>*almost goes somewhere for 10 minutes*

this

All of their fucking songs sounds exactly the same

so fucking boring

this
new album will be B-side materials they collected over years

Yeah this was Tool by the numbers.

Didn't Orgy release this album like a decade ago and it flopped?

Prog rock doesnt need tool to be good. Theres been countless great prog rock albums released this decade that doesn't sound as boring as this track.

this is the most tool formulaic tool song i think i have ever heard

...

>Orgy
Theres a band I havent thought about since 95' damn.

How is this prog rock? Like genesis and marillion? Pink floyd and yes?

>95
If you're gonna roleplay as a boomer at least get your dates right. This is as 2000 as it gets

Used to go see these guys in 95-97ish before they moved off and got famous.

am i the only one who likes tool but absolutely cannot fucking stand lateralus?
i've no way to describe it but it feels forced, aimless and some of the vocal/guitar tangents are straight up annoying. worst offender is the patient.

Damm, did they always suck or jumping the nu-metal badwagon turned them into shit?

this wasn't bad, but it was average prog, like any other fucking prog band could do
i don't understand why it's so hyped

the only reason they take 13 years between albums is so the audience doesn't notice they are playing the same songs

im convinced 10k days was a collection of the songs that they cut from lateralus

Top 10?

wut

But based Steve already did

based and redpilled answer

10,000 days is heaps and bounds better than lateralus and doesn't channel the same energy whatsoever
the focal tracks are much faster, more energetic, and heavier while the interlude type tracks actually serve to tie the thing together rather than existing just to exist

They were actually pretty good. Not the greatest, but it was probably the best thing to waste a friday night on. They had more of a late 80's metal vibe to them back then.

i hate 10k and love lateralus. prob cuz i was 14 when it came out and it blew my mind.

This sounds like something that didn't make the final cut on Lateralus

you clearly haven't listened to all their songs, retard

Based

Regal Worm is good new prog and Gong are still releasing new albums

Sorry but this song kinda sucks, and leads nowhere.
Only compliments I see are:
>this part sounds like that part in [song X]
>Oh, this reminds me of the guitars in Jambi
>Voice is nothing special, but solo at the end is nice
Is this stuff you say when you enjoy a song?

My theory is that fear inoculum means the inculation of a particular thing in you. Which is the "fear" that most fans are feeling when an album from, arguably one of the best prog metal bands of all time, which you waited for 13 years (read yt comments, full of this nonsense), is sounding after 3 songs like a bit... drab.

has there even been a new prog band in the 10s? All the prog being made today is just off bands that started in the late 90s/early 00s so it's by definition not prog anymore
