what makes it so awful?

what's particularly bad about this one?

...

saw the comment and it isn't that bad, a few misses from Lars, but that's pretty much what he does

anyone who thinks time machine modulus is bad shouldnt be on this board

look at james pretending to enjoy playing that lame song for the 10000th time.

old performers should have other younger people play the song on stage and them do theatrics or something else.

chances are he genuinely enjoys it, I mean:
1) they have said multiple times that they prefer playing the easy songs over the hard ones
2) has recycled the same riff and progression throughout metallica's career (see King Nothing)
3) still plays it on those charity gigs when they pretty much play whatever they like
I mean, they could also go full Radiohead and stop playing it, like Creep.

this was unironically excellent

time machine modulus is based

amazing

Or you could just hire a 13 year old and pay him $20 and let him jam with his heroes for a night...

>1) they have said multiple times that they prefer playing the easy songs over the hard ones
Big deal, so did Judas Priest. They started doing simpler songs from Hell Bent onward to make live performances easier.

Enter Sandman and MOP are probably an automatic reflex for them at this point.

Nah.

I know they didn't play the RTL title track for many years probably because they didn't want to bother with the solo.
