Why do people like it so much when her singing is so poppy, bland and generic?
It feels like I’m listening to some shitty pop. Like what is this? Riverdale episode outro?
Why do people like it so much when her singing is so poppy, bland and generic?
Bump
Bump
Don't bump your own shitty thread faggot
I dislike this album because it sucks, I could care less about whether it's pop.
If your gonna bait at least try to write something believable.
OP here, me too
Don’t tell me what to do, faggot. I own you
This album is the most boring and uninspired sack of shit ever
The instrumentation sounds like B-class Hollywood happy ending music from the 90s, the lyrics don’t have much artistic depth to them and the singing just makes me go insane
>The instrumentation sounds like B-class Hollywood happy ending music from the 90s,
Gonna agree with you here except for the harp. You can blame Van Dyke Parks for that.
>the lyrics don’t have much artistic depth to them
What lyrics have artistic depth to you?
>nd the singing just makes me go insane
That's your shit opinion I can't argue against.
Really bad bait sweetie
>What lyrics have artistic depth to you
Lyrics that make sense and aren’t just empty egg shells covered in beautiful embellishments. Pretty and fancy verbiage doesn’t make for high-quality lyrics. She seems like she wants to be Bob Dylan but has neither his grit nor artistic experience or depth
>That’s your shit opinion I can’t argue against
It’s not a shit opinion. Listening to her singing I had a deja vu moment, precisely because it felt so generic and poppy. Why does the praises Yea Forums singer sound like a combination of higher-note Adele, Lorde and Jeff Mangum? This sucks
based
Really bad taste sweetie. Also - a pseudish taste. You spent too much time on Yea Forums and forced yourself to like this tacky piece of boring arrangements
>Why does the praised Yea Forums singer sound like a combination of higher-note Adele, Lorde and Jeff Mangum? This sucks
Holy shit based. I’ve always felt this way about this album but never had the courage or vocabulary to say this.
I guess no one really likes this album or gives a fuck about it that’s why no one bumps it
This proves me right that this whole appraisal for this album is forced and fake
>I don’t like it so anybody can like it
Kek
We are on Yea Forums, sweetie. Here everybody thinks that their taste is objective
#NotAllMuTants
>when her singing is so poppy, bland and generic?
here’s your (You), dumb baiting zoomer faggot
I find it funny that no post disproved me yet
this but literally the opposite
kys yourself twice you double nigger
Again, no arguments
I think that might be because you know that you’re posting the exact opposite of the truth on purpose so if someone were to read any of your posts and just substitute it for the opposite, they would have the correct opinion.
plus you’re obvious troll so fuck off you lonely brainlet
have sex
You’re boring me with your lack of arguments, go away
>"The instrumentation sounds like B-class Hollywood happy ending music from the 90s"
please post examples. Never heard anything like VDPs arrangements on this.
lol I’m the only person willing to talk to you and you tell me to go away. this may be the reason you feel the need to make threads like this
bye bye, I’ll always treasure our time together
Not my favourite of her albums but Joanna is still a goddess and a musical genius. Album does sound like Disney music tho admittedly.
please post examples. Wtf is disney music? The Fantasia soundtrack?
>I own you
What is this, 2008? Get to fuck.
Pathetic take
>still no arguments
cucksom fans are truly pathetic
>WAAH WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE WHAT I DISLIKE
I don't know man its just neat songwriting and storytelling to me, and i like her harp playing.
she had a unique sounding voice, she plays an unconventional instrument (at least for my usual fare), Ys had Jim O’Rourke and Steve Albini working on the production/engineering, the lyrics are excellent (which is something I usually don’t even care a little bit about), and it reminds me of a better time in my life.
are we good here?
