Noel blamed the song "quality" on Liams shitty vox being a result of rampant drug use + heavy drinking, and "doesnt give a fuck" attitude, and the bands success.
It snowballed into other shit & hasnt stopped ever since. Liam does act like a big twat most of the time given he's assualted heaps of their adoring fans.

Thing is, I don't even think they actually hated each other for most of Oasis' career. They fought, but it was always resolved shortly. In fact in a couple behind the scenes documentaries done in '02 and '04/'05, they seem to actually get along quite well. It was only after that when everything went to shit and they wouldn't even be in the same building as each other. Literally flew on seperate planes and stayed in seperate hotels. People think it's because Noel' new wife hated Liam from the getgo and then Liam did something to really upset her (rumor it was drug use or sexual passes at one of her friends)
