Yeah, without a doubt this one is their weakest. There are great songs on it, but it's pretty clear a lot of it was just clearing out the coffers of studio recordings before Help. Most of the songs were recorded at the same time as Hard Day's Night afaik

It's also one of their most innovative albums. Without Beatles for Sale folk-rock, country-rock and jangle-pop wouldn't exist as we would know it nowadays.

mistaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Every single one of their albums before Rubber Soul is absolute shit

Prove me wrong

baby's first controversial beatles opinion

a hard day's night is a perfect pop album.

Dylan was already recording Bringing It All Back Home by the time this was released, so I don't really feel like that's true. Also the Byrds were already beginning to do Dylan covers in a jangly style shortly after this record was released, so while it contributed it, I don't think it was any kind of linchpin.

>Prove me wrong
Literally just your opinion. It's bait anyway though so who cares.

not an argument

it's meh but the best of the first 4

not an argument
not bait either
please please me is literally unlistenable garbage as all merseybeat is, and love me do is the worst hit ever

AHDN and Help are great

oh wow what unlistenable garbage covers of motown songs are wow this is the worst music ever made my ears are literally hurting listening to it

>unlistenable garbage
Perhaps to you. But I and many others don't find it unlistenable.

>love me do is their worst hit ever
The Ballad of John and Yoko imo

only 2 tracks are good on Help and you know which ones they are

not an argument, also mobile poster

>only 2 tracks are good on Help

I'll Follow the Sun is such a beautiful song

The Bryds were in thrall with The Beatles so I'm probably right. There's a myth that The Beatles weren't innovators as much as popularizers which is easily debunked by that they had a country rock song out before The Bryds' Mr. Tambourine Man was even released as a Dylan song

>things plebs say

Most people love the first 4 beatles albums. Most people are also plebs

Therefore my opinion is very unpleb, and you are the milquetoast simple mushy pop-loving plebfaggot here

dude don't you realise how entry level your opinion is

And there's something wrong about liking the Beatles first four albums?

>Most of the songs were recorded at the same time as Hard Day's Night afaik
hdn was jan-jun 64
beatles for sale was aug-oct 64
