The one where he's just as much of a pedophile as Michael Jackson but never gets in trouble for it cuz he's a white man

which one is that? :)

Hard to pick a best, but the best starter album would probably be Ziggy Stardust

I really liked the Low and Heathen

Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Low

Station to Station

it was a hollywood movie soundtrack full of muppets and chils actors

look, whenever nyone wants to go into any discography the best thing to do is start at the beginning and work your way through. most artists best album are in the first half of their career catelogue anyway

michael jackson is white idiot

Twin Fantasy (Station to Station)

Best of Bowie

Ziggy Stardust

Station to Station
Ziggy Stardust
Hunky Dory
Scary Monsters
Aladdin Sane

Low doesn't really represent the rest of his world, I'd reccomend all of the above as a starting point

definitely start with station to station, then probably head to heroes and low. i think they’re his best works personally. also def check out ziggy stardust. then go with scary monsters and diamond dogs. i know some people are a real stickler bout starting from the beginning onward but if you want to experience his best works go this way.

>no tomato soup

Consensus is that all his 70s albums are really strong. People will generally have different favorites by Bowie, but in general the albums mentioned will be from the 70s.

tldr; pick a 70s album, if you don't like it pick another 70s album.

The starting albums are Ziggy Stardust and Low
The patrician versions of both those albums are Aladdin Sane and "Heroes"

listen to his albums in chronological order for the full bowie experience, his earlier stuff is easy to listen to anyway

Hunky Dory or Blackstar.

Station to station is his best; low, diamond dogs, and ziggy stardust are also fantastic
To be honest you’re best off starting with the self titled with space oddity then working your way through at least to scary monsters

Almost every Bowie album is completely different from the other, he had s many styles in so many years, So get a greatest hits, decide which song you like best, get the album that song's from and continue from there.

Proof.

ziggy stardust is a good starter

The only Bowie album I could get into is Station to Station. Low is kinda OK too but didn't quite click with me. What next?

Try Young Americans, or Heroes if you want to retry Low but with more conventional rock music.

It's weird, I really like the man who sold the world but it never gets mentioned in these kinds of threads, still think it's also one of the best ones

Literally listen to everything from David Bowie (1969) to Let's Dance (1983) in order except the cover album. Then listen to Blackstar.

He's easily the biggest and most important act of the 70s, and one of the biggest pop-stars ever. Listen to everything he did from 1969-1980 at the absolute least. This makes me sick that there are people who are "into music" who haven't done the most basic homework out there.

I've listened to Ziggy and it's shit, I've listened to Low and it's shit, I've listened to Aladin Sane and it's shit, I've listened to Pinups and it's shit.

Don't really feel like checking out his other stuff.
