ETIQUETTE - Include correct format (artist / band, title of release, year of release, cover art, the file type (v0, 320 mp3, FLAC, etc), short description, YouTube sample, link) - Send thanks if you have downloaded something to let them know they did a good thing - Avoid sharing / requesting things that are already on the archive - Soulseek / rutracker are your friends, too - just don't argue in this thread about it
REQUESTS >I have a request! Did I... - Check the archive for a live link before requesting? - Share something first? - Google "blogspot + artist name + album name"? - Look in the ST pastebin first? pastebin.com/7Syxr4rZ
ARCHIVE >"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive" - Go here: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/ - When searching, limit your search to links only, like so: "desired album mega|zippyshare|mediafire" - Make sure you've typed "zippyshare" and not "zippy", or else Zippyshare links will not be found.
I just saw him in Long Beach last year at the Music Tastes Good festival. Only problem was his set was too short but he lit the place up.

that's from a cassette demo tape. haven't seen anything else about the band on the internet. They played in San Francisco from the mid 80's or so till the mid 90's and then just sort of disappeared - disbanded probably

Love obscure shit like this. I really enjoyed the music, even though it's like the direct predecessor of Pearl Jam and the like.

lol at the stupid fucks asking for albums but not sharing anything. that isn't how it works, stupid fucks. Even if somebody has what you're looking for, they're less likely to share with you if you do this, stupid fucks.

I used to browse Yea Forums over a decade ago, but I stopped around 2010 because people stopped sharing music.
I'm glad people have started again. :)
I'm not going to be able to contribute this time, but I certainly will next week.

Toumani Diabaté With Ballaké Sissoko - New Ancient Strings (1999) [256kbps] >Mande Music, Malian Traditional Folk. Achingly beautiful kora music from West Africa. >"Toumani Diabaté is a world renown kora player, which is a “21-string bridge-harp used extensively in West Africa”, together with Ballaké Sissoko (also a fine kora player) they create some of the most wonderful and incredibly melodic music, an excellent starting point for both Mande folk music and Toumani Diabaté/Ballaké Sissoko." Talking Heads - full studio discography downmixed from high-quality DVD audio 5.1 surround to lossless FLAC stereo tracks, resulting in a better sound than both the original releases and the highly-compressed remasters - and it's a fan project (see this thread for details and discussion )
I should note, because the surround tracks were recorded optically with little adjustment like the TV would usually make from the instructions coded in the disc, the low-frequency track is low in the mix and you'll probably want to adjust your EQ settings to bass boost to taste.
