Talented drummer.
You don't have to be an expert either.
Listen to Not a Second Time, Ticket To Ride, Day Tripper (especially the fade out), all of Revolver, and his crowning achievement, Rain.
He was about as talented as an early 60s beat combo drummer can get. Steady as fuck.
Always loved Ringo's drumming style. The only people that don't like him are moron's who think that the Beatles would've sounded better with Ginger Baker or Mitch Mitchell going off like crazy. Ringo suited the Beatles sound perfectly. Reminder that there were no virtuoso's in the band, they were a tight as fuck beat combo who happened to write amazing songs
this guy gets it. no fancy drumming in acdc or pink floyd either, but I can tell you if you have been playing that long and it's your job you are going to develop some chops.
ate rin go
ate duh beetles
ate beatul mania
simple as
dude just played whatever was appropriate, didn't overplay, didn't have any particularly slick ideas up his sleeve which is fine
nothing wrong with that
He was okay, but not even close to someone like Keith Moon
Yeah Ringo was great. Listen to his fills on Twist And Shout, for example. It really pisses me off what that fucking scaruffi asshat said about ringos drumming in that stupid fucking beatles quote that everyone throws around; just pure ignorance. Ringo is a drummers drummer.
Drummer here, he's not even a top 500 drummer.
Best Beatle
He's just okay.
Beatles fans only act like Ringo is some sort of drum god because they've been defending him from that "not even the best drummer in The Beatles" for over 50 years.
because Keith Moon would've sounded great backing All My Loving
t. been playing drums for a year
Moon was a hopeless drummer, he couldn't keep time for shit
He was talented as shit, tight as hell, but that doesn't necessarily mean virtuoso. You wanna see a drum virtuoso, you look to jazz. In a rock setting, especially a beat style setting, he plays his role to near perfection, and he's a godsent to any bassist playing with him.
Ringo was unironically the best musician in The Beatles.
Ringo is the greatest rock drummer of all time because he only ever played what was perfect for the moment
He was great in Strawberry Fields Forever and I Am The Walrus as well.
She Said She Said too
This
didnt paul record a lot of the drum parts?
maybe the most overrated drummer ever.
>rock drumming
I mean.. ok, whatever.
yeah, well, sure .. but, you know
If this is the case why should any band expand their skills if they can be just like the beatles
he sucks, look to jazz for a good drummer
>look to jazz
