Loved the album, watched the shit out of the show

you like that album a lot, right?

I've only sorta recently got into NIN (past few months) and yeah, this is currently my favourite album period.

Tbh I just love the idea of a concept album, so I came looking for recommendations for more here.

one of my favourites alongside the downward spiral. NIN's Year Zero is also a concept album

also really like The Wall

My dude, contrarians here might want to dismiss you but TDS is best NiN, closely followed by The Fragile and the new EP trilogy.

I would recommend you El Mal Querer by RosalĂa and Vulnicura by Bjork

Best bowie

The only album i agree with melon

What's the new EP trilogy?
TDS or Mechanical Animals

>What's the new EP trilogy?
Not the actual events
Add violence
Bad witch
>Mechanical Animals
Holy wood is leagues better. Easily best MM album.

>Not the actual events
>Add violence
>Bad witch
Okay, thanks. I think I briefly listened to Add Violence and Bad Witch. Guess I'll listen to the while thing now.
>Holy wood is leagues better. Easily best MM album.
Holy Wood is a close second for me, but I just love every moment of Mechanical Animals and I can listen to it without skipping.

tds, thefragile, y0, tommy, thewall, ziggy, quadro, pack up the cats, out of the blue. basically in short i have nada to add

We should make a chart for this shit, easy topsters

If you liked TDS you should like The Trilogy too, it is a concept album as well, meant to be listened to as one

REDDIT SPOTTED

NIN's Year Zero
NIN's The Trilogy
Twin Fantasy
Aeroplane Over The Sea
The Wall

what to add?

Add in Year Zero and the EP Trilogy

Berlin - Lou Reed
Arthur - The Kinks
Diamond Dogs and Aladdin Sane are better

>Diamond Dogs and Aladdin Sane are better
Than ziggy.... ok

hospice?

Too much bowie MM and NIN

Deltron 3030

The more albums we'll add the better it will be
Giles Corey is a concept album, put it up in there

Pic related. Its a little corny but you cant deny that its a really solid album.

I think this album did the concept better

Animals obviously.

Added some of my own together with other picks, lets make it more bloated before removing stuff

David Bowie's Outside and Blackstar also belong.

The whole 777 trilogy

Aladdin Sane is far more musically adventurous, experimenting with free jazz, cabaret, Bond music, proto-punk, doo-wop e.t.c. Lyrically, it is far superior too because it isn't constrained by the limitations of the Ziggy conceit - influenced by writers like Brecht and Waugh.

As for Diamond Dogs, it works far better as a concept album than Ziggy first of all. Ziggy Stardust is a pretty poor attempt to tell a coherent narrative, largely because Bowie's writing style doesn't lend itself to straightforward storytelling; the fragmented cut-up of Diamond Dogs' lyrics is far more evocative than anything on Ziggy Stardust. Also contains the Sweet Thing Suite, which is possibly the greatest thing Bowie ever did. Ziggy Stardust is great pop rock with glimpses of the decadent brilliance he'd achieve on the two follow-ups, but it is nothing more than that.

The NIN trilogy?

added them both

Would also suggest if you need yet more Bowie.

The fact that all of you still didn't add Animals (Pink Floyd) to the chart proves you are underage.

The last 3 EP I guess

How is that album a concept album

sure kiddo

Not The Actual Events
Add Violence
Bad Witch

based on Animal Farm (George Orwell)

I meant the cover art of the album you posted.

this is a concept album?

Attached: deadwing.jpg (500x500, 127K)

I just posted cause it's childish like the shit such as MCR and Green Day. If you add those then that sure can be. Also Frances The Mute and Operation Mindcrime where?

Seriously?
No one?
Ok

Attached: zen arcade.jpg (1000x1000, 661K)

It's Only Right & Natural and Racially Yours by the Frogs, also pic related

Attached: jilted-john-true-love-stories-2-ab.jpg (800x800, 233K)

i think you are blurring the lines of what a concept album is

>Also Frances The Mute and Operation Mindcrime where?
They are both on the list my dude, added them personally

Tales from Topographic Oceans is a nice detail, dig it

haven't heard anything from your pics, you sure they are concept albums?

this

thanks, added it personally

added it, waiting for some other albums before updating the chart

You're still missing the protomen, the dear hunter and coheed and cambria

just post the albums dude

it's for all 3 like their entire discography, I'll just say the first one for each:
the protomen - the protomen
the dear hunter - Act I: The Lake South, The River North
coheed & cambria: The Second Stage Turbine Blade

Attached: Spiritualized_-_Ladies_and_Gentlemen_We_Are_Floating_in_Space.png (300x300, 12K)

Fuck it, added everything. This is the chart so far guys.

Attached: Chart 4.png (4247x2432, 1.82M)

arent all the spiritualized/spacemen 3 albums about the same thing (going on a drug trip)

Attached: the-caretaker-an-empty-bliss-beyond-this-world.jpg (800x800, 202K)

I'd advise you listen to them before you add them to the list. The one big elitist dickhead list going around at the moment is comprised of records the compiler hasn't even heard

I can confirm this as i am the compiler. I'll chop things later. I'm at work now, my brain is elsewhere.
