New track!
>folk singer-songwriter
>rebel song
>inspired by Clancy Brothers
>album coming 12th September
The audio quality of the sound effects is excellent, I listened on decent headphones (HD600s) and could hear it float around from all directions. Pretty cool.
It's not the sort of thing I listen to you might have guessed, there's not much productive I can say about it.
I'll give feedback to genres that I actually know jack shit about.

These are my recent two singles, I'm working towards an EP over the next few months ^_^

I would recommend
loving the new track, even folkier than usual, love it! really like your guitar sound in the wee sol-y bits
some brilliant sounds going on here, really enjoying the atmosphere of it, love how layered it sounds with all the little chirps and things going on in the background, like waking up in the wilderness on a really sunny day
Just had a listen to "Dune Defroster" love how relentless the drum are (particularly at the start)
>bedroom pop
>neo psychedelia
>dreampop
>loving the new track, even folkier than usual, love it! really like your guitar sound in the wee sol-y bits
Thanks man, I've been using it as an opener when I do a set, gets the crowd going quite well!
Goes without saying I recommend your stuff, really looking forward to hearing the EP.

doom defroster kicks so much ass i dont even know what else to say
really love the crunch you got on those sounds and how you were able to squash them all together but there still feels like theres a nice space ( that might have been nonsense)
really clean mix here homie, i think i know the sound you're going for but i'd wanna hear what you can do it all CRANKED UP, ya know, really steller songwriting too.
I'm fortunate that my friend is into production so everything is recorded in his bedroom, I think my acoustic guitar could sound more realistic but when I'm not paying for it I can't complain, he's done a great job with adding instrumentation and backing vocals.

love the multi tracking on the vocals, the beats great too, but I feel an interlude or bridge could add some color to the song
I really love how lush everything sounds, and the infusion of some modern trap elements give it some timeliness, I think some more vocals might be cool tho
I think I've listened to this track b4 but again it caught me off guard when I recognized the sample, it's really hard to get it out of your fuckin head! It really rips all sludged up as you have it

This shit is HEAVY, feels like Akira Yamaoka's ambient work if he was truly balls-to-the-wall avant-garde. The distortion sounds so good, fantastic noise in general all around here, and the more quiet ambient sections are equally as sick, huge recommendation.
Checked out the SC link and I feel like right off the bat the mix could use some work. The drums in the back are way too low in the mix, and if that was intentional I don't think it sounds very good. It's also a bit too repetitive, especially with that sweeping, droning synth throughout the whole thing. Not bad, you present some solid ideas here but just tighten up the mix and shorten it and you're golden.
Love that synthesizer on the You Need Out, has a nice feel to it - overall pretty solid work, clearly not the most original thing ever or anything. Maybe it's just a problem on Bandcamp's end but this doesn't sound mastered right, or at least not normalized, and the mix could use some work, since the vocals are for sure a bit low. Besides the production issues you / you guys seem like solid songwriter(s), keep up the great work!
That percussion is killer, love the piano in the back too. Not huge on your vocals, they remind me of Anderson Paak if he was a white suburban kid. Not to rag on you though, still sounds pretty good.
Checked out your most recent track - loving the vocals and the synth! Really cozy, like some others here this doesn't sound mastered / normalized, which is really dragging you down since the songwriting and your performance here is really sick. Maybe I'm a dumbass though, I'm no master producer after all - but that's the only weakness I see here.
it was alright I'm not really into those genres.

the washy Malkmus sounding guitars and Elliott Smith style vocals work so well together!
really dig the summer vibes. some female harmonies would go a real treat
this is scary, i like it. takes me back maybe 10 years when i listened to Wolf Eye and played too music Silent Hill 4

Amazing wall of sound, a very positive energy from this.
I had a very similar set up for one of the tracks on the EP, he programmed the drums for the track amount other things which was really helpful. How is your friend recording the guitar?
I sing vocals and record guitar at the same time. Vocals are done through a pretty good mic, guitar is recorded with a cheap instrument mic and through my pickup at the same time. I don’t think the guitar sounds bad, just not quite as crisp as in a studio setting.

like a comment said, the piano is too repetitive, but good other than that
good flow, production kinda muddy though
