It's a good thing classical music has superior qualities and parameters such as harmony, texture, rhythm, colour, timbre and form to make it above all trashy pop music such as OP's album.

Why do most classical music sound so melodramatic and not chill sombre and languid

>most
You haven't heard enough. There's plenty of classical genres/forms/styles that are sombre.

nigga you are omega gay

>harmony, texture, rhythm, colour, timbre
Literally all things that are still in modern and even bad music. What is your point?

You're a genuine moron aren't you? The difference and implication is that these parameters are GOOD in classical music, as opposed to ranging from bad to accidentally decent in pop music.

done good* obviously. There's a difference between rich harmony and just a bunch of chords thrown together for the amusement of the lowbrow listener.

that is a raging generalisation user
i hate pop music and poptimists but that is a raging generalisation

Such as? I only consider chopin and satie to fit that description

Certain pieces by Marenzio, Gesualdo, Monteverdi, Bach, Beethoven, Weber, Schumann, Liszt, Faure, Scrabin, Webern, Sorabji, Messiaen etc. come to mind.

these clowns named weber and webern? damn classical is gaaaaaaaaaay

more like the only two composers you know lol

That actually made me laugh out loud. What is wrong with you, user

Nah bruh I could name more
Bach
Morton Feldman
John Cage
Ravel
Bartok
Bedrich smetana
Beethoven
Mozart
Xenakis
Your turn, user

Scrabin fits the description too thanks for reminding me of him, but for Bach I feel like only 2 pieces by him fits that (aria and his first prelude) will check out the rest

>classical music has the things that all other music has
stunning observation poindexter

it doesn't

It does

>muh classical superiority
you're stifling yourself user

What makes classical music sound melodramatic to you? What are you listening to?

and they were only 19

>they
*he

I think its the fast tempo and constant shift in direction that does it

Last I tried was mozarts and bartoks
string quartets, the latter being the more melodramatic

>only listens to post baroque music like a retard pleb
>WAAH why does it sound so melodramatic

Melodies are rarely the main focus of classical music
You clearly haven't heard enough
