Goof DeBallo

Anyone think the new album was actually pretty good?

Nobody is easily one of his best songs. Finally Alone and All Of Our Yesterdays are also great tracks.

People are just pissed because he's not sticking with the same, stale le viceroy music anymore.

I mean it's good but i kinda wish he'd go back to the more energetic songs of his debut but i understand the direction hes taken but it seems hes gettinh more and more slow and dreary

Cowboy is his best t b h, i just love it's atmosphere, dynamics, and that guitar tone makes diamonds.

SSSSMOKIN

Was kinda disappointed by Here Comes The Cowboy. Heart to Heart is the best song on the album, but All Of Our Yesterdays live version is amazing. Best "album" is Another One

Don't you just love Halloween?

This song, I liked it, sounded good, album, not so much, was boring

nobody, finally alone, little dogs march, preoccupied and K are all top-tier mac songs, and there are a few good-tier ones too

Anyone think the new album was pretty good?

I really like it, yea.

I loved it, Baby Bye Bye is one of the best songs in his career but some songs were meh

It's good but I kind of do hope he'll do some rock n roll night club or 2/salad days stuff again.
The synths are great n all but if he could just make some funk or groovy stuff like he did with choochoo in the similar realm of his earlier stuff I think it could be a fun, fresh album for him

It was never bad but Mitski and her following really tore Mac and any defenders down.

Fuck you Calderposter

Wasn't even Mitski, she was fine and told her rabid fuck-head fans to calm down.

Stupid retarded indie tumblr whores need to be choked to death with a big black cock

Skyless Moon was the only shitty track IMO, he should of kept it off but it had sentimental value cause of Mac Miller

There's some nice tunes on the new record but also some that are not so great. Some of the tracks sound like they were just completely phoned in - Hey Cowgirl being the worst offender. I think I remember reading that the album took like two weeks to write and record. It shows in a bad way at times.

The title track and Choo Choo get criticised for being overly repetitve but at least they're kind of interesting in how unexpectedly weird they are to feature on an anticipated album from a guy heralded as the modern day king of indie rock. Tracks like these, combined with the really lazy and unfinished feeling the majority of the tracks have gives the impression that this is the work of an incredibly depressed person who is genuinely losing the plot.

When I listen to it with that in mind, I can kinda enjoy it in a pitiable sense. When I listen to it expecting nice, well written and fully realised folky pop songs that I've come to know Mac for, I don't enjoy it so much.
