REMEMBER WHEN THE MOST RESPECTED PUNK BAND WAS ANTI-GLOBALIZATION?

What happened in 21 years?

Grows so smoothly
Moves so slowly
Takes completely
It's as if they belong and they've been here all along

This one's ours let's take another

Check the math here
check in ten years
Clusterfuck theory
buy them up and shut them down
Then repeat in every town

Every town will be the same

This one's ours let's take another
Five corporations
there is a pattern

Money.

You're not a good person unless you believe everyone can be forced to live together in harmony.

Jazz music and all its derivations spearhead capitalist imperialism, to play it while simultaneously attacking globalization and its resultant homogenized brand of alienation is hypocritical.

Bump

Fag

Corporations and the government have tricked people into believing that history is something that needs to be atoned for and the only way to achieve that is to have a McDonald's on every street, replace churches with mosques and open the borders.

Leftism

Thanks dad, now fuck off back to facebook

>what happened in 21 years
Nothing? Fugazi was always one of the rare bands that kept it real and didn't sell out.

Kys chapo zoomer

A hero asap, schizo newfag

If I tell you that there are powerful people who are oppressing you to defend their own interests, you’ll call me a progressive, a liberal, and a reformer. If I tell you who those people are, you’ll call me a Nazi

Fugazi is not a good band. I listen to a lot of post-hardcore, primarily screamo, and I can tell you 100% that there are punk bands that make music way better than fugazi

there are better bands but it doesnt make Fugazi 'bad'. Their legacy is about more than the music itself

Dumb yuppie

Name some please

But their music is boring
Well for standard post-hardcore, Drive Like Jehu and Moss Icon wipe the floor with them but for screamo Saetia, Joshua fit for Battle, and City of Caterpillar put Fugazi to shame

Any band's legacy should be 99% music itself.

why

Fugazi had a great influence on screamo though

Drive Like Jehu were clearly influenced by Fugazi, expecially on their first album. Moss Icon were influenced by Rites of Spring, as all the subsequent emo/screamo, so is basically the same.

Globalization and the mass media were considered linked to capitalism and therefore bad until a few years ago

Oy vey

>be anti clinton left-liberal
>turn into anti-bush left-liberal
>turn into pro-obama left-liberal because anti-bush
>turn into anti-trump left-liberal because pro-obama
two terms of bush were traumatic enough to progressives that a centrist democrat was able to successfully co-opt their momentum and now anything that threatens that center must be pure evil even if you actually agreed with it once upon a time. basically political stockholm syndrome

bumpie

Doesn’t make fugazi good just influential
Why listen to fugazi when a bunch of bands came after and did what they did better

They're still considered bad among leftists, numb nuts. A lot of the people you consider "communists" are either liberals who believe in intersectionalism/privilege theory, or social democrats at the worst.

>I am a romanticist. I am also a traditionalist - I like my cup of tea and its corresponding culture. That is why I hate Thatcher. I hate her because allows this country to be Americanised. SHE IS A HYPOCRITE OF THE LOWEST AND FILTHIEST FORM.

Go Fugazi!

GUILTY OF BEING WHITE

Maybe I don't understand what globalization is, but how is that anti-globalization?
