Eh, Seasons In The Abyss is a pretty good album. Was never huge on Slayer but they're alright.
Nightwish is shit. They don’t make metal. Just pop music with down-tuned guitars. People love slayer because they are crazy and brutal. Not every song is amazing but they engineered the thrash metal genre and have added way more value to the music world than nightwish ever will.

Nightwish overall have more talent than Slayer, and they don't make pop music at all......if you want to name a metal band who makes pop music, there are plenty. Nightwish makes sissy music or girly music if you wanna call it that, but it's not pop.
Also, Slayer have always been poseurs following the herd, they adopted a new persona after getting fucking trolled by other thrash bands and radio stations for wearing makeup and were considered a joke/cheese Halloween band in the early days by their peers, it wasn't until they said S STOP IT GUYS, W-WERE THE MOST SERIOUS BAND OF THEM ALL and wrote Reign In Blood that they got their respect
Slayer is a decent live band 20 years past its prime. They never aspired to be a renaissance fair fagshow with fireworks to distract the audience from the fact they make vapid carnival music and stole their 3 token "heavy" riffs from 80's Metallica.
I mean, Slayer hasn't made a worthwhile album in more than 30 years, so her words do apply to most of their discography.

I like Papa Tom, and his singing voice. I get tired of "DEATH SERIAL KILLER DOOM GLOOM DIE" songs, but Papa Tom is cool in my book - and Slayer has had some of the best drummers in the business. Now, the guitars. The dead guy was a riff master. Wrote some of the most iconic riffs in metal. And was improving - he was never a greta soloist, but he DID improve over time.
The fat bald guy sucked, has always sucked, will always suck, and is THE biggest try hard, "check out my EXTREME sunglasses" asshole in the business.
