>ONE HIT
Wonderwall or don't lock back in anger?

Oasis had a dozen number 1s you delusional mutt.

don't look what?

They weren’t a one hit wonder because they had lots of successful songs
However, they’re extremely mediocre and their albums all suck
It’s so boring I don’t understand how anyone can claim otherwise, and the way they used to big themselves up is very cringy because of how boring they are

they had
8 number one albums in the UK
8 number one singles in the UK
23 top 10 singles in the UK

not even a one hit wonder in the US, since they had 2 number one singles in the Modern Rock Tracks chart (Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova)

Op is underage and weren't alive when Oasis was kicking it, thats why hes so clueless.

>SHITE-LIFE
I love Blur but that line still makes me laugh.

Their US singles also didn't chart because of the way they were distributed at the time.

go to bed Damon Albarn

When I picture someone who hates Oasis I imagine either a fat american neckbeard or a pasty skinny femboy looking guy from London.

basically this. I dont even like Oasis but you can't deny their massive success

When I picture someone who likes Oasis, I imagine this.

Huh?

>they’re extremely mediocre and their albums all suck
It's laughable how people can say shit like this like it has any objective standing.

Oasis could never have produced something as beautiful as this.

>objectivism determines how much people like pop music
Cringe normalfag
Oasis are boring, like all britpop

Oasis really did make some bollocks, but you can't deny that they basically defined a generation for better or for worse. I'd pull up the Albini quote but I'm too lazy.

literally nothing wrong with that

Id rather be that than the average radiohead fan

Britpop is more of a culture than an actual musical genre, so to say it's all "boring" rely does take some ignorance.

heres the albini quote

And how many of them can you name off the top of your head? Wonderwall is literally their only song with any staying power.

kek. There is actually one from an article though where he shits on Oasis and it's quite funny.

>SHITE LIFE
How will Blur ever recover?

The Gorillaz

Definitely Maybe is an 11 hit wonder though

My point was literally the opposite of that. Subjectivity determines how much people like a certain artist, song, etc, yet people keep masquerading their opinions as objective truth. Ahem, "Oasis ARE boring."

Like this. Yes that's a real tweet.

Do you really want people to prefix every opinion with "In my opinion" you autistic faggot? Christ, I've had this EXACT argument many times before. Stop taking everything quite so literally. That's just how people speak, for the sake of expedience if nothing else.

That's not how that works. A hit is a hit, especially a #1. Plenty of hits will become less remembered over time, not as often played on radio or totally ignored by the next generation, but they were still hits in their day.

t. dumb

>Wonderwall:735,230,044
>Don't Look Back in Anger:267,821,121
You literally just proved my point.

>hehe you only got over a quarter of a billion hits, what a fucking loser
Not even an Oasis fan, but you're going full based retard here.

Yes wonderwall is their biggest hit, but they clearly had others that are still getting a substantial amount of streams.
.

Bro those numbers are order of magnitudes bigger than plenty of other older artists' hits on spotify, so you're definitely a moron.

How many hits do YOU have?

I admire 1-hit wonders because they got farther in the business than I ever did. Or, 99% of everyone else who ever picked up an instrument or a microphone.

>267,821,121
>not a huge number for a 90s song on spotify.

By comparison, "3AM" by Matchbox 20, a song that was inescapable at the time has 60 million.

>expedience
Like it would take you so much longer to type out you think Oasis are boring...

>getting upset by syntax and demanding someone spell out exactly what they mean
Cringe and fagpilled

Now imagine the cumulative time it would take to do this every time I gave an opinion on anything. All for no benefit, other than to satisfy the autism of idiots like you who are for some reason incapable of understanding something that to the vast majority of other people is implied.
