steaming my diaper while listening to your favorite tool album
This is the real order
>not ranking Opiate
Lateralus>Opiate>10k>Aenima>Undertow
It's been 13 years, guys. It's okay to like 10,000 now.
This guy gets it
I really like it, it's just #4. Something has to be. I'm first reply btw
Good to see there are no contrarians putting Undertow in the top half yet
This
Lateralus > Ænima > 10,000 days > Undertow > Opiate
Objective fact coming through
10,000 Days > AEnima > Lateralus > Undertow
Aenima > Lateralus > 10,000 Days > Undertow
Why did they sell-out to the Spotify jews?
Literally nobody is buying physical media anymore.
The fact that they held out this long is as about as anti-sellout you can get in todays streaming climate.
Honestly them holding out this long tells me its genuinly for the fans.
"nobody is buying physical media anymore" is exactly something a jew would say!
quads confirm
I agree, I like it I just don’t like it as much as the others
christ, yeah, the fucking tip of the bell curve isn't buying vinyl anymore, i fucking care?
Tool is now on Spotify as of an hour ago.
nice
The thing about Undertow is weird for me. Its my least favorite, but it has for me the most, or one of, the most emotionally powerful songs in the whole discog and thats Prison Sex, but I just cant justifiy it going higher because of one song.
MY SHADOOW
MY SHAAADOOOOOW
>you piece of shit why don't you just kill yourself
is this Yea Forums theme song?
huh?
he's quoting the song hush from opiate
I came.
my nigga
get out
i love 10k days
wings 1/2 best songs of tool ever made
10,000 is good but inconsistent.
God forbid someone wants to listen to music when they’re on a walk, riding in a car, on the bus, etc. Fuck off and take your dumb vinyl fetish with you you dumb hipster faggot
Undertow > Opiate > 72826 > Aenima> Lateralus > Salival > 10kDays
I'm OGT from '92
Aenima is the only thing that I really LOVE that they've done. I like Lateralus, 10k days I had mixed feelings. Their earlier stuff was good not great.
Then start touring more. And stop playing the same setlist every show.
Do you think the new album will be good?
Ahhh...
Correct
checked
Id kill for a new version of this
youtu.be
>inb4 sober is the new version
AOTY
Without a doubt bro. AOTD
Bout to listen to tool for the first time. What is the recommended listening order?
aw man what about the grudge or rosetta stoned or wings?
This thread summarized.
well most disagree on the order except Lateralus first. Id say go to Aenima after then whatever you want
xd
well those are for sure up there, but I had some pretty messed up stuff happen as a kid. I used the song as kind of therepy for a while.
Bringe
This is the correct ranking. 10,000 Days is still good though, just definitely last.
>unironically listens to worse version of Melvins
No u
this
favorite tool song? mine is parabol + parabola
H, Right in Two, or 46 & 2
I wanted to respond to your post but my answer is the same and I didn't want to lose my hipster status
4° gets me good
Close between The Grudge and Lateralus. Probably my two favorite songs by anyone desu
like comparing shit to shit to shit to shit.
schsim, lateralus or rosetta stoned. I also really like Sober which never gets mentioned enough
Eulogy, without a doubt
I'm 33 now, didn't hear Tool until I was like 18. Did I miss the boat or something? Would I have liked it if it had been a part of my developmental years?
Also Undertow is easily the best solely because they didn't write songs over 8 fucking minutes long back then (inb4 Disgustipated, that's not a song)
>Doesn't have attention span for 8 minute songs
Fuck off zoomerboomer
Wings 1 and 2 or Lateralus
It's hard to pick. I think disposition/reflection/triad are up there. The salival version of pushit is great too.
I listened to their songs on repeat when I was 13 and remember every damn word. If your first thought when you listen to tool is "wow 8 minute songs are stupid haha" you weren't ever going to like them.
Millenial, it's not a four letter word. And I don't mind long songs as long as they have a reason for being long, generic buttrock riffs repeated for so long are annoying. I could probably stomach this bullshit if not for Adam
Obviously you just don't fucking like them.
Hooker With A Penis or Forty Six & 2
Millenial, eh? All faggots
Sweat.
We're the best generation. We know the military is shit, the government sucks, there is no God, and we grew up with the best Saturday morning cartoons. Millenials legit have the best taste in anything. Tool is trash
What's your reddit username?
Right In Two, Prison Sex, Hooker With a Penis
Too old for Reddit, that's more of a zoomer thing. I'm sure there's an r/tool board where you'd feel more at home, get this shit off of Yea Forums
this
>this meme format
>in 2019
>on Yea Forums
Yea Forums is dead
It's pretty appropriate for tool.
not really
H, Undertow, Rosetta stoned (complete)
I saw Tool live this summer in Copenhagen.
Started with Ænima, then played the pot.
I lit a fat joint when the bass kicked in, and went to 9.5/10
Bought a signed poster too.
based
>not making the actual cover art the final tier
c'mon
10k > Opiate > Lateralus > Ænima > Undertow
Finally the correct order
Lateralus
10k
Opiate (to digest the older sound without the immense amount of filler present in Undertow)
Ænima
Undertow
Wearing Van's 501
The Pot.
Literally me.
Lateralus > Undertow > 10,000 Days > Ænima
based taste
k
I don't understand why people don't like 10,000 Days, what's the deal?
Most people like the album, just not as much as the others. Personally it's my favourite.
OP's ranking is perfect for me, 10K is a very close second fave.
stfu
>10k
>brainlet
heh
Lateralus. Honorable mention for The Grudge because the scream at the end is godlike
Aenima > Undertow > Lateralus >Opiate > 10,000 Days
Just checked out their first album
>prison sex
>bottom
Is this a gay band?
10,000 Days is an easy 10/10. The people critical of it don't like that Tool is less aggressive on that album than on Undertow. Tool was always about change. They're not the same band anymore. The earliest shows had no lights or screens. Just bare bones hard hitting heavy music. The Lateralus combined the best of both worlds, namely the heaviness of the music and the elaborate stage show
really? 8 minutes is excessive for a song?
Tool is unironically one of the greatest bands of all time
Vinyl looks cool and I think it's great if you want a vinyl collection just for that but it doesn't sound better and it is pretty fucking limiting, as wrote less diplomatically
I'll finally be able to listen to their shit
FUCK pirating bros
We are the greatest
I just finished listening to Undertow on Spotify, it is not great. Ænima is much much better.
Tool seems to be quite humble about how great they are
Saw them on the same tour, those posters were expensive, good for you
jambi or stinkfist
