What do adults listen to after they outgrow indie and hiphop?
What do adults listen to after they outgrow indie and hiphop?
Nothing because they become boring, or the same but with nostalgia
They just keep listening to the indie/hip hop they listened to when they were young. The weird thing is, the ones who stay up on current music seem to lose the ability to distinguish what's good from what's bad, so they'll become really devoted to some random mediocre one hit wonder as the "savior of" whatever genre.
Whatever gives you the false pretentiousness and egotistical feeling of being an "adult" that has grown out of things they like and have became dull, boring, and insufferable.
the beatles probably
People usually only listen to the music they liked when they were between 13-21, most don't bother with discovering new music because they have jobs and can't sit on RYM all day for the newest LGBT pandering album rated high by Melon
adult contemporary
Kek
This.
Yeesh.
Nothing, since they’ve transcended listening to music. Only vacant torpid fucks care about listening to music. He who listens to music without producing it is a miser. He who abdicates from music is a patrician.
harsh noise
Classical of course. Glenn Gould's piano sonatas are some of my personal favorites.
You couldn't have picked a picture of adults that looks more like a bunch of schoolboys.
Prog and post rock
everyone likes music in someway shape or form, if you're talking about an interest in music like their younger years than you might be correct.
Alot of you zoomer faggots in this thread need to put down your bongs and get a job
I'm a 27 yo adult and I listen to IDM, industrial, and post-punk. So yeah, there's your answer pal.
You're definitely from that millionaire worship forum for underages, right? Why am I asking, there's no way I'm wrong.
JEEEZ
No one who really "gets into" indie music goes on to be a productive member of society. Face it, all the shit you know about AJJ will never be of use in real life and you should have spent all those years learning electrical engineering or something.
fuck you
I’m very old and I try to keep up, but it gets impossible sometimes working 40-50 hours a week. I think I’m definitely an outlier. Majority of people in their 30s (working in demanding fields making good salaries) don’t have the time to research so they just listen to created playlists or Top 40.
A dentist I know (late 40s) who runs his own practice literally only listens to Adele. Maybe a few other Top 40 singers.
yeah dude just be a prime cut whipping boy for heavy industry and never do anything else
that's normal and what regular people do
Please god let this not be true
ok buddy
Steely Dan. And better still if you neber fell into those shit music traps
AC/DC and Wagner.
Well you're not much different, writing album reviews for pitchfork for 40 bucks a pop.
Enjoy giving JunglePussy's latest album "SLOBIN'IT" 4 stars because you're not a racist.
I work on SSD hard drives.
I would rather kill myself than listening exclusively to top 40 crap. If you're either a musician or very interested in discovering music, you'll find time.
>Majority of people in their 30s (working in demanding fields making good salaries) don’t have the time to research
Wtf are you talking about? What do they do in the evenings or weekend? These people have time to lurk on social media for hours a week but don't have time to research new music? Give me a break.
content farms don't pay half that
i don't write reviews
Jewl and Counting Crows
The only reason you talk bad about hard work is because you know you're too much of a twig to handle it
it's beneath me
work ethic is peasant shit
I like to get drunk and listen to ignorant rap
user, try to imagine for a moment that other people have different hobbies than you. If their hobby is not music, and they have very little free time, they're not gonna dedicate their time to finding new music.
>the ones who stay up on current music seem to lose the ability to distinguish what's good from what's bad,
Can you honestly tell the difference between that and just not following the crowd? Not that the crowd has terrible taste, but it's pretty easy for the crowd to ignore good music.
imagine actually being a wagecuck in 2019 lmao
ITT: High school children
this
Prog and contemporary folk
I'm going through this right now, I never knew Art Zoyd was so good...
When you're an adult you realise that music sucks and isn't worth your time
God, I hope I never become such a corporate wagecuck like the guys in that photo
I bet they have families too, disgusting
It’s legitimately worrying how many people on this site think “adulthood” is giving up on your personal autonomy and hobbies
Lol toked a bong and loaded up the new Wand album. Gtfo
That's what the capitalists want you to believe.
That's exactly what it is though.
You leave the things you used to enjoy behind and stop discovering new things. Not that you'd have time for any of those things anymore.
There are more important things to worry about after you reach 35, like caring for your family and advancing professionally so that you can retire (i.e. wait for death) without financial problems.
Better to just die young desu
if you have a good education you dont have to wage slave because you make 5 times as much money as normal plebs.
the cucks are those who work 40 hours of week just to get by.
You could be making same amount of money in ten hours, as an EE or doctor or something.
fucking hell, is this the actual cover art? it looks like a 2004 bling era mixtape made by a guy with 25 myspace followers
