Cranked high gain tube amps sound quantifiably different than the solid state equivalent (w/o kemper tier modeling) but if you A-Bed them you'd probably only be able to say they sounded different and wouldn't be able to accurately identify them
Me I suppose. I'm not the best guitarist out there but I am one for a living and I use a Katana. Not going to identify myself obviously
Hudson Miller
Works on your mom when puts some slap on and pushes those big ol' saggers up with a Wonderbra, fag.
Aaron Anderson
Have you seen the new pedal-format Kemper? If I were a professional, I'd be seriously tempted.
Caleb Kelly
Is there any gear testing youtube channel that doesn't have annoying guys making shit jokes and laugh tracks for 12 year olds or just have some old guy playing only the blues and never fully testing the gear.
Caleb Brown
Anderton's doesn't have a laugh track, and both Rebea and Danish Pete can play well.
Blake Evans
*Rabea
Easton Johnson
Kempers are phenomenal. Heard one at a gig before and it sounded exactly like a cranked Marshall stack. I would get one but I kind of prefer plugging and playing, and prefer combos over heads + cabs.
Andrew Morales
Currently only own a standard tele and I love the feel. Want my next guitar to have either hums or p90s just for variety, anyone have experience with something like a 70's tele or that Jim Adkins sig with p90s?
Jacob Rivera
Wrong
Julian Hall
Anyone may be Sambo I'm just getting paranoid
Yes
Jack Rodriguez
Anderton is the main reason why I said the first one, I can't stand the ADHD comedy of the chubby guy. He's great at playing but the shit jokes get old fast
Blake Davis
Lol have you ever heard an actual comparison with the real amp The Kemper sounds like a better multifx
Carson Mitchell
It can be fiddly to get the sound you're after, that's what puts me off. Given that I'm full casual, I just have a simple, single-channel amp.
However, if you're performing, you can just give the line out to the sound guy, since it's one box on the floor: kemper-amps.com/stage
I actually really dislike Chapper's playing.
Ryan Phillips
ProGuitarShop was always my favourite, Know Your Gear is decent too I think. I can't understand how anyone watches HenningPauly without wanting to murder him
Carter Miller
People who thought tube amps were a necessity and not a novelty for rich people
>glowing tubes!
And the more powerful ones are seriously heavy. 60lbs.
Jack Garcia
They were definitely a necessity when we didn't have transistors. Now that modelling finally works, their appeal is fading.
Parker Reyes
Yes I have, the Kemper usually gets 99% of the way there.
I prefer to give the sound guy as little control over my sound as possible, as they are usually pretty awful where I live and work. And I would probably want at least a cab or monitor for myself as I don't use in-ears. So probably not right for me, but I think they're great. Much better than Axe-Fx
Parker Mitchell
Just get a good multifx then, they sound 98% to you. Oh wait you have to justify your money so multifx's sound much worse!
Colton Perez
Fair play. Yeah, you'd need a powered FRFR cab to use that with.
Asher Collins
>imagine being unironically brazilian
Logan Parker
He doesn't have to justify his money if he's using a Katana, they're pretty cheap.
Asher Bennett
>Vox Pathfinder Combo, 10W (V9106)
>Squier by Fender Affinity Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar - Laurel Fingerboard
are these two pieces fine for someone who's dabbled in guitar but never really owned an electric before? are there objective differences between a strat and tele tone, or is it subjective?
Grayson Lewis
use le sound guy meme is for nogigs who think everyone gets to be metallica
90% of the time you are your own sound guy, you just tell some AV club kid exactly what to do
Austin Nelson
>are there objective differences between a strat and tele tone, Yes, fender installs different pickups in them.
However these guitars hum like a motherfucker and the necks and bodies aren't exactly the peak of ergonomics. We've come a ways from the 50s and shouldn't be eager to turn a corporate product into a tradition.
i'm completely open to any suggestions people have regarding good inexpensive guitars
Jace Hughes
Wow two strawmen in one comment! What are you even on about by your second sentence? I'm going to try to answer the question that I think you mean in your mangled favela English. Yes when I buy equipment, I like to know that I will use it and it will be useful. The Kemper is amazing but not right for me at its price point, for the amount of gear I'd have to cart around, I'd just get a Peavey Classic 30 or something.
Did I say multifx sound 98% to me? No, in my experience the amp emulators and OD/dist/fuzz sounds do not hold up to analog pedals let alone amps. The Kemper is not a multieffects. This was where the technology was at in 2011. It was great then and has only gotten better.
I know with the strat the hum cancelling gets rid of most of the buzz, can't do that really on the tele.
What's your budget. The Squier isn't really that bad at all cnc routers have been getting more advanced so even the shittiest guitars have been getting better. If you can go up to the $300ish mark you can get a classic vibe which is even better because the materials aren't super cheap like the affinity squiers.
Jackson Bailey
I don't. They could be scaled down by 80% and have an arched top. Also I hate the fretboard radius.
See, acoustics have undergone centuries of evolution with input from players and independent luthiers.
Electrics are about 88 years old and the current standards are decided for you buy some soulless corporations. You would do well to venture outside the Guitar Company(tm) approved configurations. Maybe try the Other Guitar Company(tm) until you can afford something made by someone who doesn't answer to a PR board and a marketing department.
>scaled down by 80% i think you mean scaled down to 80% lol other wise you have a manly tears sized guitar
Jose Cox
I asked you nothing asshole
Charles Clark
Have you tried getting a job? Its summer and you dont start highschool until a few weeks right?
Joshua Robinson

i'm just not really a fan of the les paul body

Noah Sullivan
I didn't mean my dad, you dumb asshole
Nolan Davis
>imagine going through life with undiagnosed aspergers
Sebastian Ross
>can't do that really on the tele. Of course you can, Teles have an in-between position.
>I don't. Fuck, it looks like we have... different preferences!
Jose Davis
>wake up in the winter >the street isn't covered by snow and I can actually move my fingers to play GUITAR Life is good
Wyatt Hill
This is why i withered away and died son. I dont like you and youre rude to your elders. Thats why our neighbor beat you up. Learn respect son. And enough with the kaka in my poopoo.
Henry Reed
Yes there are objective differences due to not only the pickups but the huge bridge on the Tele.
Squier are putting out a lot of great guitars in the Classic Vibe and Contemporary lines, that's what I would go with.
I think you can if one of the pickups is RWRP. Otherwise, if it's well shielded it should be fairly quiet. I had a cheapo Chinese one that had been upgraded with pickups, electronics and shielding and it was very quiet.
Gabriel Johnson
I imagined it. I'm sorry user, wanna vent?
Thomas King
Is this why the best bands come from the west coast because se can practice everyday of the year?
Connor Davis
That means that you were diagnosed. You finally sought help.
Isaiah Gray
My father isn't dead and nobody beat me
Lincoln Cooper
Maybe in another century someone will have finally come up with an electric guitar that everyone likes
But first we have to forget all this rock star bullshit because the childish imitation of famous people is muddying up preferences independent of musical concerns
Leo Robinson
Wow Jose, the internet in the favela's pretty good today! That your only rebuttal? At least you tried. Hope you don't get murdered later for your Nokia
Sebastian Gray
Squier Classic Vibe at $350 Yamaha strat copy at $300
Both are really solid guitars for beginners and will give you a ton of mileage for years. I'd say just go to a guitar store nearby if you can and try out stuff like teles, strats, jaguars, jazzmasters, etc. and see what body feels the best to you and if you're comfortable with playing in public try them out plugged in.
Leo Foster
It's why the best brands are handmade in Brazil
Justin Martin
>you can get a classic vibe oh that's a line of guitars not just a type of feeling
i'll do more research, thanks!
Levi Jenkins
>No question marks or sentence that resembles a question >I'll try to answer your question Yeah you're really smart asshole
Bentley Gonzalez
What about that post you made that you cant play electric through your amp anymore because your neighbor complained and then you posted a pic of your bloody face missing your front tooth?
Carter Moore
Pretty sure this is what I'm doing. How do you get diagnosed though?
They have. Abasi Guitars, in ten years we'll all be using them into our Kempers
Anthony Rivera
It's the best run of squiers yeah, that's why I said just go down to a shop and see which fender body type you think feels the best and ideally plug it in.
Lincoln Campbell
You go to the doctor.
Thomas Brooks
How do I do the scratch sound at around 2:33? Like is he strumming all the strings and muting with his fingers or what youtu.be/M_6NOX2NLVc Alternatively where do I ask this
Isaac Adams
Keep trying Jose! Focus on one tiny error despite the fact that what little of an argument you have got destroyed and you have absolutely nothing to say. Hopefully no one on the thread will realise what a mongoloid you are
Eli Ramirez
>imagine being the favela aspie
Dylan Green
Its too late we knew he was a mongoloid since the start.
Jacob Johnson
Yeah, I'm really interested in new guitar designs. If I liked humbuckers I might have shelled out for an early Strandberg. I don't play metal or similar genres.
Joshua Williams
and one that's brand agnostic too? they have, it's called the superstrat.
99% of guitar players from this century worth caring about play one, and fender makes their own under the american-*whatever* and charvel lines such that upgraded strats are what most people aspire for unless it's a limited run of period-correct guitars.
the best guitars are based heavily off the stratocaster. leo won.
yeah, it's just that. no strings are pressed down, but the fingers rest on top so its not just an open chord
Hudson White
why from all the fucking names "jose"?
Angel Johnson
Sounds like he's muting with his left hand, around a natural harmonic point (7th fret) so it's not fully muted.
David James
Lol you're really creative My neighbor isn't I'll anymore and I can have loud music again. I broke my tooth because I fell off the bus in movement
Logan Wilson
If you look closely at strandbergs you realize they're headless strats with extra cutouts.
Michael Price
Thanks
Dominic Turner
Retard you proved nothing you just jerked to yourself and your coping. Kemper sounds like shit given its enormous price, it's thin and sterile just like a multifx
Gavin Mitchell
play in a band and you'll realize it sounds full when you have a bassist and drummer playing with you
Jace Martinez
Ask your mother not 4channel
Landon Mitchell
>this is literally Sambo's cover story for getting the shit kicked out of him

He's a 3rd to the multifx vs kemper argument, retard
Damn this thread is full of retards
Landon Cook
Have you heard one in person, used by someone who knows what they're doing? Have you heard demos done by people who know what they're doing? You don't just plug in to it, you tweak it and work on the profiles
I don't hate on multieffects, they have their uses, but at the same time I don't know anyone who uses them for anything serious. At least without adding gain pedals, as that's still what hasn't been mastered through digital multieffects
Full disclosure, I do have a multieffects for convenience on certain gigs. It's OK, it has analog drives which is a good feature, but the effects are completely outshadowed by individual pedals whether analog or digital
Colton Wood
Every artist under 30 is either using multi-FX or they're a consumer ultra-whore audiophile (placebo addict) with a "pedalboard" that costs more than their amp
Jackson King
>This user is underage
Andrew Peterson
why you always lying
Justin Nguyen
Hah OK. Yes my pedalboard costs more than my amp
Easton Howard
I'm triggered, good job!
Nathan Hall
>Have you heard one in person That doesn't count, a lot of things sound good in person. Doesn't mean they sound like the real amp. Recordings are the actual verdict of sound quality

Brandon Wright
Youre losing it sambo. Its not even me bullying you today. Theyre getting to you
i can't wait for the old fart arguments in 50 years
>damn kids back in the day ya just needed an ibanez, an axe fx, and a boss katana >fuck off, my ESP had ten times more tone and actual pedals and tubes shit all over that digital crap. >you know what was a real good guitar? squier classic vibe.
Liam Rogers

Gabriel Sanders
>I never lie about my life and achievements But you don't have either of those things. You earn $1.35/hr at a pet shop in a favela.
Ethan Stewart
You know, for a cheap shit asian guitar, they actually did a good job with the binding
gibson and fender have been making guitars with 2 and 3 piece bodies since the beginning. you can see the glue line in vintage tobacco burst strats. One piece guitars are sought after because they're rare.
I think he's alright. Anyways, the guitar looks nice enough to me, but the strings wrapped over the bridge is a complete meme
Brayden Reed
Sofa.
Logan Morris
No im not. Learn the definition of racist insults please so you dont look retarded.

Ever here other comedians talk about joe rogan in his straight edge days? He would have a heart attack if you even drank a beer in front of him. Yeah i havent noticed much difference with top wrapping. Shes due for a restring soon so ill end up putting it back.
Easton Wright
There we go. Fuck off sam youre the only zambo here
Jordan Adams

Ryan Lopez

Did this sound funny and make sense in your head?
Justin Fisher
Fair enough, the podcast is alright but his comedy is complete cringe. I can definitely believe
I notice a different in sound and tension when I do that. It's looser but doesn't sound as good top-loaded/top-wrapped, feels like more tension but sounds better the usual way.
Josiah Robinson
Is Rocksmith a good tool for learning guitar? I've tried so many times over the last 15 years or so and always give up on guitar because I find it too hard to follow justin guitar and all those people.
For fun, here's a list of guitars I've owned, looking for suggestions on next one. I usually buy one every other year and then give up again and sell them. Never owned two at the same time.
AXL Strat copy Epiphone Les Paul Custom Squier Jagmaster Squier classic vibe 50s strat (my favourite) Fender MIM Strat Squier Bullet Mustang (least favourite)

Samuel is a sambomaster from Brasil, he retreated into the favela voluntarily and without interference from foreign countries to lead a peaceful life of poverty. He did this to be able to focus on the essence of guitar and life, and finally become one and only with the kaka and master artfully any and all forms of kaka.
Thomas Ramirez
Are you blind?
Jace Bennett
*Definitely believe he was a giant asshole based on how he's acted to certain guests. Crowder mainly.

Yeah it does, but it's very convincing and you have a lot of advantages over the amps themselves. Having some of the best amps around in one head, switching between them in a split second, no tubes or maintenance to worry about, etc.
Caleb Barnes
Rollin for Samuel based sambomaster
Robert Wright
It'll teach you some times to play and a couple of techniques but you'll just become a coverlord and not learn stuff like theory and how everything ties in to each other which would help you more in the long run. That's why people like justin guitar so much because a good teacher does exactly what he does instead of show you song covers.
If one part of the instructions are too hard then you don't have to rush just take your time and practice it until you understand and can play it. Also with guitar get anything really, I'm guessing you're an adult with how long you've been playing so it's really how much money you want to sink in again and if you'll really buckle down.

What is this black stuff near the nut and how do I get it off? I assume it’s just glue and scrapes but idk it’s a tiny amount on frets too.
I keed. It's just dirt. Get a cloth and some warm water and scrub it off. DON'T USE soap or abrasives. Make sure you oil it up after.
Hudson Clark
Easy if you have prior musical experience. Godin are good, but the Multiac you have to amplify no? It's a good choice if you don't care much about acoustically playing
I played a few chords on one in store and it's definitely loud enough acoustically. It wasn't as resonant as other nylon strings with sound hole but it did sound good and it felt very comfortable. I'm not used to foot thick guitars, I think something slimline would work.
Retard how would you define a non-favela civilized area
Luis Johnson
A finished maple neck at that
Cooper Green
>how would you define a non-favela civilized area Anywhere not in Brazil.
Alexander Cooper
That's tone kaka, leave it in there
Robert Robinson
Cool, I thought it'd be really quiet.
Yes, don't do this. Oil is for rosewood only
Jose, if you can only afford the old Behringer V-Amp that's fine, as long as you're happy with it you don't need to convince anyone else that the Kemper's no better.

so what things do I need to do to as it’s new? is it worth removing strings from nut and lubing it?
Asher Perez
He still buys me strings, I don't have to beg anymore
I did pay him to go to the Joiner to finish the headless and he's delaying it for months
Julian Cox
Now I got a bone nut and a minimum wage job thank god
Nathaniel Hughes
Get acquainted with it first and then do your personal modifications.
Xavier Walker
Easy compared to most beginners, the majority of stuff new players struggle with is fretting strings correctly and music theory and how to apply it so I'm assuming you know that after playing violin longer than most people here have been alive.
William Davis
But your electrics dont even work >imagine believing this is not equally pathetic Im surpised you havent begged /gg/ for money for your fathers funeral.
Dominic Carter
>I've begged my brother for money so much that now he's given up and just gives me money without being asked That's so much better.
Adam Baker
The neck pocket doesn't make a difference, the main thing is that the neck is well made and tightly screwed to the body
Ethan Richardson
Why would you ever beg for strings its like $5 every month
Cooper Brooks
He makes $1.35 an hour. Every little helps.
Elijah Gonzalez
Now imagine how dirt poor and stupid he is. Best part is he chooses to live like that in squalor and constant hunger. See

Justin Nguyen
google ed roman 22 vs 24 frets
Isaac Sullivan
That's what I'm trying to decide. I much prefer the tone of the 22 fret guitar but I think I really need those two extra frets for some of megadeth's songs.
Brody Carter
What is the guitar you're even talking about, the tone isnt really that big of a change when you're playing metal since the neck pickup just gets less beefy and gains more attack
Daniel Hall
No idea what people talk about in the comments regarding danish pete. Their audience must really be 12 year old boomers.
Angel Cooper
>yeah bro 22 fret guitars are so much better than 24 frets. The tone is miles better you know? The less frets the better, you feel me? >ugh a 21 fret guitar? Get that shit away from me, bro!
