why you always lying?

Cranked high gain tube amps sound quantifiably different than the solid state equivalent (w/o kemper tier modeling) but if you A-Bed them you'd probably only be able to say they sounded different and wouldn't be able to accurately identify them

Who are you talking to?

shut up, sambo

I wonder if this works on a Katana?

Attached: 727486fb651cbe232a341f11c4ff1f69.jpg (720x634, 210K)

Me I suppose. I'm not the best guitarist out there but I am one for a living and I use a Katana. Not going to identify myself obviously

Works on your mom when puts some slap on and pushes those big ol' saggers up with a Wonderbra, fag.

Have you seen the new pedal-format Kemper? If I were a professional, I'd be seriously tempted.

Is there any gear testing youtube channel that doesn't have annoying guys making shit jokes and laugh tracks for 12 year olds or just have some old guy playing only the blues and never fully testing the gear.

Anderton's doesn't have a laugh track, and both Rebea and Danish Pete can play well.

*Rabea

Kempers are phenomenal. Heard one at a gig before and it sounded exactly like a cranked Marshall stack. I would get one but I kind of prefer plugging and playing, and prefer combos over heads + cabs.

Currently only own a standard tele and I love the feel. Want my next guitar to have either hums or p90s just for variety, anyone have experience with something like a 70's tele or that Jim Adkins sig with p90s?

Wrong

Anyone may be Sambo I'm just getting paranoid

Yes

Anderton is the main reason why I said the first one, I can't stand the ADHD comedy of the chubby guy. He's great at playing but the shit jokes get old fast

Lol have you ever heard an actual comparison with the real amp
The Kemper sounds like a better multifx

It can be fiddly to get the sound you're after, that's what puts me off. Given that I'm full casual, I just have a simple, single-channel amp.

However, if you're performing, you can just give the line out to the sound guy, since it's one box on the floor:
kemper-amps.com/stage

I actually really dislike Chapper's playing.

ProGuitarShop was always my favourite, Know Your Gear is decent too I think. I can't understand how anyone watches HenningPauly without wanting to murder him

People who thought tube amps were a necessity and not a novelty for rich people

>glowing tubes!

And the more powerful ones are seriously heavy. 60lbs.

They were definitely a necessity when we didn't have transistors. Now that modelling finally works, their appeal is fading.

Yes I have, the Kemper usually gets 99% of the way there.

I prefer to give the sound guy as little control over my sound as possible, as they are usually pretty awful where I live and work. And I would probably want at least a cab or monitor for myself as I don't use in-ears. So probably not right for me, but I think they're great. Much better than Axe-Fx

Just get a good multifx then, they sound 98% to you. Oh wait you have to justify your money so multifx's sound much worse!

Fair play. Yeah, you'd need a powered FRFR cab to use that with.

>imagine being unironically brazilian

He doesn't have to justify his money if he's using a Katana, they're pretty cheap.

>Vox Pathfinder Combo, 10W (V9106)

>Squier by Fender Affinity Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar - Laurel Fingerboard

are these two pieces fine for someone who's dabbled in guitar but never really owned an electric before? are there objective differences between a strat and tele tone, or is it subjective?

use le sound guy meme is for nogigs who think everyone gets to be metallica

90% of the time you are your own sound guy, you just tell some AV club kid exactly what to do

>are there objective differences between a strat and tele tone,
Yes, fender installs different pickups in them.

However these guitars hum like a motherfucker and the necks and bodies aren't exactly the peak of ergonomics. We've come a ways from the 50s and shouldn't be eager to turn a corporate product into a tradition.

I think strat bodies are pretty comfortable.

flickr.com/photos/condormusic/4794510626/in/photostream

i'm completely open to any suggestions people have regarding good inexpensive guitars

Wow two strawmen in one comment! What are you even on about by your second sentence? I'm going to try to answer the question that I think you mean in your mangled favela English. Yes when I buy equipment, I like to know that I will use it and it will be useful. The Kemper is amazing but not right for me at its price point, for the amount of gear I'd have to cart around, I'd just get a Peavey Classic 30 or something.

Did I say multifx sound 98% to me? No, in my experience the amp emulators and OD/dist/fuzz sounds do not hold up to analog pedals let alone amps. The Kemper is not a multieffects. This was where the technology was at in 2011. It was great then and has only gotten better.

youtube.com/watch?v=Ucd-DsZmy1w

Hi dad how's work?

I know with the strat the hum cancelling gets rid of most of the buzz, can't do that really on the tele.

What's your budget. The Squier isn't really that bad at all cnc routers have been getting more advanced so even the shittiest guitars have been getting better. If you can go up to the $300ish mark you can get a classic vibe which is even better because the materials aren't super cheap like the affinity squiers.

I don't. They could be scaled down by 80% and have an arched top. Also I hate the fretboard radius.

See, acoustics have undergone centuries of evolution with input from players and independent luthiers.

Electrics are about 88 years old and the current standards are decided for you buy some soulless corporations. You would do well to venture outside the Guitar Company(tm) approved configurations. Maybe try the Other Guitar Company(tm) until you can afford something made by someone who doesn't answer to a PR board and a marketing department.

ebay.com/itm/Epiphone-Les-Paul-Standard-Plus-Top-Electric-Guitar-MIK/223603612211?epid=78607511&hash=item340fd05a33:g:ObUAAOSw3QldPjLN

>scaled down by 80%
i think you mean scaled down to 80% lol
other wise you have a manly tears sized guitar

I asked you nothing asshole

Have you tried getting a job? Its summer and you dont start highschool until a few weeks right?

what sort of options open up at $300?

i'm just not really a fan of the les paul body

Stop putting kaka up my decomposing anus son

I didn't mean my dad, you dumb asshole

>imagine going through life with undiagnosed aspergers

>can't do that really on the tele.
Of course you can, Teles have an in-between position.

>I don't.
Fuck, it looks like we have... different preferences!

>wake up in the winter
>the street isn't covered by snow and I can actually move my fingers to play GUITAR
Life is good

This is why i withered away and died son. I dont like you and youre rude to your elders. Thats why our neighbor beat you up. Learn respect son. And enough with the kaka in my poopoo.

Yes there are objective differences due to not only the pickups but the huge bridge on the Tele.

Squier are putting out a lot of great guitars in the Classic Vibe and Contemporary lines, that's what I would go with.

I think you can if one of the pickups is RWRP. Otherwise, if it's well shielded it should be fairly quiet. I had a cheapo Chinese one that had been upgraded with pickups, electronics and shielding and it was very quiet.

I imagined it. I'm sorry user, wanna vent?

Is this why the best bands come from the west coast because se can practice everyday of the year?

That means that you were diagnosed. You finally sought help.

My father isn't dead and nobody beat me

Maybe in another century someone will have finally come up with an electric guitar that everyone likes

But first we have to forget all this rock star bullshit because the childish imitation of famous people is muddying up preferences independent of musical concerns

Wow Jose, the internet in the favela's pretty good today! That your only rebuttal? At least you tried. Hope you don't get murdered later for your Nokia

Squier Classic Vibe at $350
Yamaha strat copy at $300

Both are really solid guitars for beginners and will give you a ton of mileage for years. I'd say just go to a guitar store nearby if you can and try out stuff like teles, strats, jaguars, jazzmasters, etc. and see what body feels the best to you and if you're comfortable with playing in public try them out plugged in.

It's why the best brands are handmade in Brazil

>you can get a classic vibe
oh that's a line of guitars not just a type of feeling

i'll do more research, thanks!

>No question marks or sentence that resembles a question
>I'll try to answer your question
Yeah you're really smart asshole

What about that post you made that you cant play electric through your amp anymore because your neighbor complained and then you posted a pic of your bloody face missing your front tooth?

Pretty sure this is what I'm doing. How do you get diagnosed though?

They have. Abasi Guitars, in ten years we'll all be using them into our Kempers

It's the best run of squiers yeah, that's why I said just go down to a shop and see which fender body type you think feels the best and ideally plug it in.

You go to the doctor.

How do I do the scratch sound at around 2:33? Like is he strumming all the strings and muting with his fingers or what
youtu.be/M_6NOX2NLVc
Alternatively where do I ask this

Keep trying Jose! Focus on one tiny error despite the fact that what little of an argument you have got destroyed and you have absolutely nothing to say. Hopefully no one on the thread will realise what a mongoloid you are

>imagine being the favela aspie

Its too late we knew he was a mongoloid since the start.

Yeah, I'm really interested in new guitar designs. If I liked humbuckers I might have shelled out for an early Strandberg. I don't play metal or similar genres.

and one that's brand agnostic too? they have, it's called the superstrat.

99% of guitar players from this century worth caring about play one, and fender makes their own under the american-*whatever* and charvel lines such that upgraded strats are what most people aspire for unless it's a limited run of period-correct guitars.

the best guitars are based heavily off the stratocaster. leo won.

Attached: 16437-leo-fender-3up.jpg (736x736, 78K)

yeah, it's just that. no strings are pressed down, but the fingers rest on top so its not just an open chord

why from all the fucking names "jose"?

Sounds like he's muting with his left hand, around a natural harmonic point (7th fret) so it's not fully muted.

Lol you're really creative
My neighbor isn't I'll anymore and I can have loud music again.
I broke my tooth because I fell off the bus in movement

If you look closely at strandbergs you realize they're headless strats with extra cutouts.

Thanks

Retard you proved nothing you just jerked to yourself and your coping. Kemper sounds like shit given its enormous price, it's thin and sterile just like a multifx

play in a band and you'll realize it sounds full when you have a bassist and drummer playing with you

Ask your mother not 4channel

>this is literally Sambo's cover story for getting the shit kicked out of him

If that's the situation you can use a multifx and get the same result

I jumped off the bus at 1am believe it or not

>I jumped off the bus at 1am believe it or not
We all choose 'not'.

>4channel
baby can't enter adult sites?

People who use multifx units: Actual artists who perform and record

People who use kempers: Hobbyists with their heads up their asses

All you need to know right there.

>still desperately trying to troll something, anything
Dude.

People who got trips: ?

Attached: 1455756724737.jpg (500x500, 88K)

He's a 3rd to the multifx vs kemper argument, retard

Damn this thread is full of retards

Have you heard one in person, used by someone who knows what they're doing? Have you heard demos done by people who know what they're doing? You don't just plug in to it, you tweak it and work on the profiles

I don't hate on multieffects, they have their uses, but at the same time I don't know anyone who uses them for anything serious. At least without adding gain pedals, as that's still what hasn't been mastered through digital multieffects

Attached: file.png (413x29, 2K)

Full disclosure, I do have a multieffects for convenience on certain gigs. It's OK, it has analog drives which is a good feature, but the effects are completely outshadowed by individual pedals whether analog or digital

Every artist under 30 is either using multi-FX or they're a consumer ultra-whore audiophile (placebo addict) with a "pedalboard" that costs more than their amp

>This user is underage

why you always lying

Hah OK. Yes my pedalboard costs more than my amp

I'm triggered, good job!

>Have you heard one in person
That doesn't count, a lot of things sound good in person. Doesn't mean they sound like the real amp. Recordings are the actual verdict of sound quality

>i didnt get my ass beat im just a peasant retard who is too poor to afford a bus ticket and thinks jumping off moving vehicles is a good idea.
>the picture was after my face slammed into the ground because im a dumbass not because i got beat up by my neighbor
Lmfao i dont know which one is worse now.

Youre losing it sambo. Its not even me bullying you today. Theyre getting to you

Attached: 20190713_164752(1).jpg (1947x2568, 1.1M)

I never lie about my life and achievements

Lol whore

>the sambo samboing

i can't wait for the old fart arguments in 50 years

>damn kids back in the day ya just needed an ibanez, an axe fx, and a boss katana
>fuck off, my ESP had ten times more tone and actual pedals and tubes shit all over that digital crap.
>you know what was a real good guitar? squier classic vibe.

Now aim it at my butt hole honey!!!!

>50 years and none of ya'll got jobs. i'll stick with my gibson and kemper.

I didn't get my teeth beat that's for sure

>I never lie about my life and achievements
But you don't have either of those things. You earn $1.35/hr at a pet shop in a favela.

You know, for a cheap shit asian guitar, they actually did a good job with the binding

It's not even me either, retard

Attached: Screenshot_2019-07-31-14-59-13.png (1080x1920, 358K)

OK then, have you looked at comparison videos?

youtube.com/watch?v=3OiTBwdGWoU

It cost more than your house too Sambo, but that wouldn't be difficult. A pedalboard of Aliexpress clones would too

That's true except for the favela

Fucking savage

What do you guys use to sit on to play guitar, i need to get a new chair because mine has arms and makes playing a chore.

>Sambo isn't a favela-dweller
Dohohoho.

The guitar is of great quality. Its just not muh one piece. And the veneer is surprisingly thick and it has a maple cap as well under the veneer.

Attached: 20190618_213657(1).jpg (1698x2945, 1.1M)

If the pet food store is not in a favela where is it?

>its just not muh one piece nor muh musical instrument nor muh real wood nor i'm a guitah playah nor...

Joe Rogan would love that guitar.

But I can see the crooked inlays from here and I'd loathe to hear the twangy, thin tone pieced together gooktars are known for.

>viewed head on
>E string way off the edge
>e string really close to it

Also 99% sure what you think is a maple cap is just a thicker line in the wood grain.

Having a stroke sambo? Dont lwt the bullies put you down.
Lol what makes you say that. Also fuck joe rogan.

>E string way off the edge
look at the saddle. Don't blame the guitar.

Attached: 20190511_135439.jpg (4160x3120, 2.87M)

gibson and fender have been making guitars with 2 and 3 piece bodies since the beginning. you can see the glue line in vintage tobacco burst strats. One piece guitars are sought after because they're rare.

and he left it like that lol

because of dmt you sambo

Pablo what are you doing

Attached: file.png (565x353, 578K)

Im not sam dumbass

but you are a sambo

>clearly the guitar was being worked on
>the strings couldnt possibly be slack and moved for screwdriver use.
We got some real thinkers in here.

youtube.com/watch?v=UzXPLVW4wHw

I think he's alright. Anyways, the guitar looks nice enough to me, but the strings wrapped over the bridge is a complete meme

Sofa.

No im not. Learn the definition of racist insults please so you dont look retarded.

don't be ashamed of your cultural heritage and embrace your sambo culture playing sambo music on your sambo guitar

Shut up, spic.

Ever here other comedians talk about joe rogan in his straight edge days? He would have a heart attack if you even drank a beer in front of him.
Yeah i havent noticed much difference with top wrapping. Shes due for a restring soon so ill end up putting it back.

There we go.
Fuck off sam youre the only zambo here

why aren't you playing your sambloos?

doesn't look very slack to me

can't see shit

i can see shit

Did this sound funny and make sense in your head?

Fair enough, the podcast is alright but his comedy is complete cringe. I can definitely believe

I notice a different in sound and tension when I do that. It's looser but doesn't sound as good top-loaded/top-wrapped, feels like more tension but sounds better the usual way.

Is Rocksmith a good tool for learning guitar? I've tried so many times over the last 15 years or so and always give up on guitar because I find it too hard to follow justin guitar and all those people.

For fun, here's a list of guitars I've owned, looking for suggestions on next one. I usually buy one every other year and then give up again and sell them. Never owned two at the same time.

AXL Strat copy
Epiphone Les Paul Custom
Squier Jagmaster
Squier classic vibe 50s strat (my favourite)
Fender MIM Strat
Squier Bullet Mustang (least favourite)

Samuel is a sambomaster from Brasil, he retreated into the favela voluntarily and without interference from foreign countries to lead a peaceful life of poverty.
He did this to be able to focus on the essence of guitar and life, and finally become one and only with the kaka and master artfully any and all forms of kaka.

Are you blind?

*Definitely believe he was a giant asshole based on how he's acted to certain guests. Crowder mainly.

Rolling to make this a permanent part of OP

not as funny as your sambloos, post it again so we can all laugh and be reminded of your sambo culture

He has interesting guests but hes too wishy washy with his opinions.
For exampme he will say
>dude aliens are real bro
And for the next guess
>do you have any proof aliens ever existed.
I get that hes trying to get a better interview out of the guest but he changes colors more than a cuttlefish. I prefer joey diaz podcast

Check em

The mid 2000s called, they want their meme guitar back

Rollerino

A

Yeah it does, but it's very convincing and you have a lot of advantages over the amps themselves. Having some of the best amps around in one head, switching between them in a split second, no tubes or maintenance to worry about, etc.

Rollin for Samuel based sambomaster

It'll teach you some times to play and a couple of techniques but you'll just become a coverlord and not learn stuff like theory and how everything ties in to each other which would help you more in the long run. That's why people like justin guitar so much because a good teacher does exactly what he does instead of show you song covers.

If one part of the instructions are too hard then you don't have to rush just take your time and practice it until you understand and can play it. Also with guitar get anything really, I'm guessing you're an adult with how long you've been playing so it's really how much money you want to sink in again and if you'll really buckle down.

What is this black stuff near the nut and how do I get it off? I assume it’s just glue and scrapes but idk it’s a tiny amount on frets too.

Thx

Kys edsel

That's tone goo! Don't touch it!

I keed. It's just dirt. Get a cloth and some warm water and scrub it off. DON'T USE soap or abrasives. Make sure you oil it up after.

Easy if you have prior musical experience. Godin are good, but the Multiac you have to amplify no? It's a good choice if you don't care much about acoustically playing

Attached: 20181230_125456.jpg (4160x3120, 3.84M)

I played a few chords on one in store and it's definitely loud enough acoustically. It wasn't as resonant as other nylon strings with sound hole but it did sound good and it felt very comfortable. I'm not used to foot thick guitars, I think something slimline would work.

Retard

Do you still beg your older brother for money?

>oil a maple fretboard

Same could be said about a multifx

Retard how would you define a non-favela civilized area

A finished maple neck at that

>how would you define a non-favela civilized area
Anywhere not in Brazil.

That's tone kaka, leave it in there

Cool, I thought it'd be really quiet.

Yes, don't do this. Oil is for rosewood only

Jose, if you can only afford the old Behringer V-Amp that's fine, as long as you're happy with it you don't need to convince anyone else that the Kemper's no better.

Do you remember when you were begging /gg/. I do, you pathetic lying wretch.

C'mown, roll!!

You had to beg him for money for new guitar strings. If you don't want us to know this stuff, maybe you shouldn't tell us.

Is /gg/ my brother or even a real person?

rollin rollin roliin yeah!

Roll for teh win!!!

You were literally begging /gg/ for $30 for a new nut last year.

yeah but the rest of the neck is better so it’s fine I guess

so what things do I need to do to as it’s new? is it worth removing strings from nut and lubing it?

He still buys me strings, I don't have to beg anymore

I did pay him to go to the Joiner to finish the headless and he's delaying it for months

Now I got a bone nut and a minimum wage job thank god

Get acquainted with it first and then do your personal modifications.

Easy compared to most beginners, the majority of stuff new players struggle with is fretting strings correctly and music theory and how to apply it so I'm assuming you know that after playing violin longer than most people here have been alive.

But your electrics dont even work
>imagine believing this is not equally pathetic
Im surpised you havent begged /gg/ for money for your fathers funeral.

>I've begged my brother for money so much that now he's given up and just gives me money without being asked
That's so much better.

The neck pocket doesn't make a difference, the main thing is that the neck is well made and tightly screwed to the body

Why would you ever beg for strings its like $5 every month

He makes $1.35 an hour. Every little helps.

Now imagine how dirt poor and stupid he is. Best part is he chooses to live like that in squalor and constant hunger.

What do you think i meant by acquainted. To have a fucking conversation with the guitar? Fucking idiot thats when you will see what is not to your liking. Then do your modifications.

Nigger

Youre not prashant aswani fuck off

how the fuck do I remove the knobs

So you can calculate an equal-tension set, or if you're trying different tunings you can figure out what gauges to use to keep your tension the same. It's surprisingly useful.

Don't worry, Eric.

If you're trying to dox me, you couldn't be further off. My name is Clarence.

I don't care who you are. I was looking for Edsel. I found him, the game is over for me.

Who is Edsel? I only know the name as one of the biggest marketing disasters in motor history, that's why I put up that photo.

Serendipity. And btw, kys newfag.

Ah Edsel Presley's Gear Box. I have no idea why you would think that based on my advice about clearing gunk from a fretboard, but that's not me.

Right after my date with your mom tonight. She's finally letting me add your sister to the mix!

Are you 12?

So you don't damage the neck and so it's still actually playable, instead of noodles or steel cables.

How can i tell if my pickups are out of phase.

Post the dumbest boomer myths you know

>taking off the spring cover of the strat makes the tone so beefy!!

22 frets vs 24 frets? How much is the tone of the neck pickup affected by those 2 extra frets? Are the 2 extra frets worth it considering the change in tone?

Who the fuck ever said that. I keep mine of for convenience because im lazy.

Heres one
>Only a Gibson is good enough.

Boomers on old guitar forums who worship SRV

If you need to ask you dont need them.

HOT TAKE:
Andy Timmons is superior to Eric Johnson.

I like Megadeth and some of their songs require 24 frets.

If you think you absolutely need a 24 fret guitar then get one, doesnt really sound really worth to me if you just want to cover a couple of songs that occasionally use it but no big deal really its your money

google ed roman 22 vs 24 frets

That's what I'm trying to decide. I much prefer the tone of the 22 fret guitar but I think I really need those two extra frets for some of megadeth's songs.

What is the guitar you're even talking about, the tone isnt really that big of a change when you're playing metal since the neck pickup just gets less beefy and gains more attack

No idea what people talk about in the comments regarding danish pete. Their audience must really be 12 year old boomers.

>yeah bro 22 fret guitars are so much better than 24 frets. The tone is miles better you know? The less frets the better, you feel me?
>ugh a 21 fret guitar? Get that shit away from me, bro!

I've seen the article before. He says that the 24 fret guitar sounds better which I disagree with.
I'm trying to decide between the PRS SE Custom 22 and the Custom 24.

gilmour's strat has only 21 frets,

This.

NEW THREAD:

Get a tele online, maybe g&l?

Is that the only thing he says in that article? I remembered something else. Anyway, check this physics.stackexchange.com/questions/111780/why-do-harmonics-occur-when-you-pluck-a-string
Deduce if it should have an influence or not.

retard question but how do I put the trem arm in a strat and how do I remove it?

pop or screw?

What does it say? I'm a beginner so I don't even know what a harmonic is yet.

which strat?

squier

hammer it

how long does it take until my fingers stop being so sensitive and get harder?

I can’t even practice properly because they’re too soft and the tips just kinda spread out over the string after like 5 mins.

Looks sexy (both the guitar and sheets). Is it a player strat?
