It's a concept album and will require you reading an analysis online but it sounds like Deloused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta is what you're looking for. It was inspired by a friend of the band who used heroin to help manage his depression, and eventually committed suicide. In the album Cerpin Taxt (the main character) decides he is unable to endure his loneliness and depression any longer, and decides to take his life by overdosing on a mixture of opium and rat poison. It fails and sends him into a 7 day coma, where he travels deep into his subconscious, and is tortured by disturbing creations of his own imagination. One of the greatest pieces of art to grace this planet, well worth the read/listen
