i think about this album a lot, and no memes, will it be considered one of the greatest albums of all time in 100 years? thoughts?

It's ok. Why do you think it's so remarkable?
not op but its good
nobody will even be listening to the beatles in 100 years
Nah. The moment RYM and Yea Forums die, albums like VDC, Deathconsciousness, and Long Season are gonna vanish.
realistically, you're probably right.

It blends so many genres together super well
I haven't listened to it yet. I'm not ready it.
You guys hyping it up so much makes me worry I'll be underwhelmed.
Maybe you will be, but it's still a decent album. I dont even like much -gaze but this album had me pretty good
realistically? it will die along with Yea Forums, rym, basically when cult following does. probably a good chunk of the music underground will die when its following does, bandcamp stuff has an expiration date. not. many people will be talking about it in 10 years let alone 100. there won't be fucking historians looking up Yea Forums archives.
i sure hope it fucking doesn't, though. it doesn't deserve absolute vanishment.
I can definitely see mucore and rym music blowing up years from now and becoming a big scene. Hipsters/arthoes gotta one up themselves once their scenes become too mainstream, and what a way to be an obnoxious "i'm not like the other guys/girls" type of person than reviving the culture of a dead internet community from 50 years ago?
It could keep its reputation if famous musicians shill it, like the modern lovers, can, and the velvet underground were

Problem is rym/mucore have no fashion attached to them and most musicians they like (NMH, Sweet Trip, Mid-Air Thief, Swans, MBV, Fishmans) are not marketable at all. I think the development of the Shibuya-Kei subculture in Japan based off Brian Wilson and other old orchestral pop music is interesting but even they had much more to "go on" if that makes sense.
this not having a vinyl print is a fucking disgrace
It’s great but not AOTYAY material
Probably never gonna happen, but I gotta say it's fun to entertain the idea of some arthoe listening to In The Aeroplane yelling at her parents "I was born in the wrong generation! I'll never be a Yea Forums neet! I will never trace flight paths to steal Shia Lebeouf's flag!"
Now that's a thought to bring a smile to my face.
Long Season is very popular in Japan tho
>only known by Yea Forumstants and RYMers
>"considered universally the greatest album?"
it's beloved by our secret club, but seriously doubt anyone else will heart about this at all
But there are a lot of srt hoes that appropriated Neutral Milk Hotel and My Bloody Valentine into their style, so maybe
